"I LOVE THIS GAME" | 2009-06-24 |

| Well this was the first ddr I actually owned and I bought the fat dance mats to play it. It was a thrill. The songs were awesome and catchy. So what did I do, I went and bought DDRextreme and Extreme 2, DDRMAX1, and even got an import playstation 2 to play the japanese ddr extreme, ddrmax2, and disney mix. But this one is always the one I come back to. This game is all about the song selection and I didn't care much for DDRmax one's song selection. The Japanese mixes were better than most of the american mixes but I ran out of room to have two playstation 2's so I had to get rid of them and so I still play ddrmax2 (the american version) to this day. Great to get rid of excess fat and pounds instead of playing rpgs where I tend to gain weight through a good one (probly because I'm drinking soda, pizza, and just being a couch potatoe.) This game encourages me to eat better and exercise, but you need a good dance mat!!! None of that thin mat will do. |

| This is pretty much one of the best DDR games you can possibly get. Great song selection and challenging steps. |

| I always liked DDR but I was so glad I bought this version. It is the "greatest hits" and I love the song selection. Though it has some more techno originals, a lot of the beats for song are rap beats, more syncopated than the flat beat for techno. There are also a lot of remixes of very popular songs such as the village people's In the Navy, and a lot of 90s pop. I'm also a big fan of workout mode which helps you count time played, calories and lets you play non-stop. |

| We already had DDR Supernova 2 and the Disney one, and have done it so much we needed another one to have some fresh stuff. We have loved this as much as the others. It's a great workout, even on the lower settings! |

I just took up DDR, and this is the first game I got. DDR Max has a lot of great songs that are really fun to play! It also has a lesson mode which is really great for first time users like me. It really helped me learn how to play. It also has a workout mode where you can just keep playing songs continuously. It also doesn't matter how much you mess up on them, it just keeps going! Great for getting in shape and not getting frustrated! Overall, this game is a lot of fun! |

DDRMax 2 is part of the Dance Dance Revolution series. For those new to the DDR series, you play by dancing around on a mat, hitting the buttons with your feet. It is quite a workout, and quite fun too!
The songs start out with easy footwork and build their way up to almost impossible. Along the way you build up energy, leg muscles, and burn off calories. They do even have a workout mode where you can track it - but I enjoy just diving into the game. You find yourself playing long after your legs are tired because it's so much fun.
While you can think about the videos that play being the music, really all you see when you're dancing is the stream of arrows that you're supposed to be following. I've found that while graphics vary from game to game, all I really care about is what songs are included.
This set is a mixed bag for me. Some of the DDR games have no songs at all I really enjoy. This one has a few. Now it's important to keep in mind that a song list preference is VERY personal! You might hate the songs I love. You might love the songs I hate! So it's key not to go by what I (or anyone else) says about a given song list. It's important that you look at the actual song list and choose a DDR game that matches your preferences well.
So that being said, there are perhaps 5 or 6 songs in this set that I enjoy. But the footwork on some of them is REALLY cool and I enjoy them a lot. So to me it's well worth it to have the game and play with those. Heck, think of it as having a CD that you love a bunch of songs on. Sure, you like other songs too - and you have other CDs. |
