I'm really surprised to see such positive reviews for this product. The dustpan is fine, but the broom is ridiculously small. I'm 5'9" and have to bend completely over to use it. It looks like it was made for a child. I'm really disappointed. I'm going to have to replace the broom, because this one will kill my back if I try to use it.
This broom and dustpan set is very easy to use and also very easy to store in hardly any space at all. I've been looking for a good one for about a year now and this is the best one I have seen.

This isn't meant to be some sort of miracle machine. It is a broom and a dustpan, and what a broom and dustpan is supposed to do, it does well. Some people say "too small" (meaning width I think) go see how huge one of the commercial handled dustpans is, you'll be glad you have this one, which can fit in a corner or in your pantry or wherever. For cleaning up spills, cat litter around the cat pan, general debris in the kitchen, bathroom, it is great. The broom snaps into the handle of the dustpan so you can move it around as one unit. The dustpan stays tight to the floor so you get most of it, you do have to do a couple extra sweeps to avoid the "line" of dust, but, if you are not on your hands and knees, so what? The broom is pretty soft and gets the fine stuff. No it does not cover a big area per sweep, that's why I ,for "big cleaning" sweep around with a big broom into a pile and use this to pick it up and get the finer dust. For dry spills, it is so handy. A very practical and appreciated gift for an older person, you just don't see sets like this in the stores. It would be nice if it were a little more attractive, but it's OK. The height is fine, it's for pickups, not sweeping the house.
This is overall a good set. It is doing what it is supposed to do. The dustpan is well constructed. The broom on the other hand is not so good. The broom is heavy and can wear my wrist down easily. I would like the broom to be lighter and the bristles thinner and softer to do a thorough job on the wood floor.
I consider myself a frugal shopper. I want quality but I don't want to be ripped off. I think this broom set made by OXO is great quality and very durable. We are a family of 6 and life happens... A LOT!! We have had this set for several years and it has served us well and it's still going strong.
