I bought this watch as a gift, I had recently bought 2 Skagen watches for myself. (All 3 from Amazon) The recipient loved the watch, as did her daughter. As the watch was being worn, slight pressure under the clasp caused it to become undone. It was a mesh band. I had business at a jeweler last week, so I took the ladies watch and my Skagen watch with a mesh band to the jeweler, I explained the problem, she corrected it in a few moments. A battery purchase was made, my Seiko band shortened, her Skagen mesh band corrected and all I paid for was the battery. The jeweler sold the Seiko to me, this was in June. This jeweler does not sell Skagen. This is a local merchant. Perhaps a few more dollars for the Seiko, but the service and courtesy is fantastic.
As for Skagen watches, I love my 2. I do not need another watch, but.............

My watch arrived yesterday and I love how it looks. Perfect for my lifestyle, too. I bought the watch because I am very sensitive to metal alloys and because it's all stainless steel, I won't have any skin irritations. But, I've never owned a watch with this type of clasp. I'm nearing 60 yrs old and will enjoy the challenge of mastering a new skill!
After 2 weeks, I've mastered the clasp and I'm very happy with the watch. I need to remember to take it off if I do dishes.

I purchased this watch for my wife and have to say that I was happy with the appearance of the watch. My brother purchased a watch from Skagen and I have always liked the way it looked. He didn't have any problems with his, but my experience wasn't so positive. The watch I purchased had a clasp that was unnecessarily difficult to buckle and so it was sent back and replaced. The replacement watch had a clasp that worked well, but the watch can't keep time. It falls behind 10-15 minutes per week. I would think that constructing a watch that stayed on time would be a primary objective for a watch manufacturer.

I have been using this watch for over a month daily. The watch is elegant and understated and looks as good as the first day I recieved it. The watch has gotten a little wet (showering, doing dishes, etc.), but I have had no issues - no condensation. Some users have stated that the clasp is flimsy and what I will say is that you need to be careful that you "hear" the click when locking the clasp and then the clasp is quite secure. I looked at many watches and wanted to not spend a minor fortune on a watch. I think this watch is reasonably priced and a good value. I would higly recommend this watch.
