| The nurses at the hospital showed us how to make a baby burrito wrap with receiving blankets....ours never worked. Maybe it was our skill level or our kid being Houdini. Either way, these wraps are great!! |

"Great option for the first 2 months" | 2007-11-24 |

My infant loved to be swaddled, and we continued to swaddle him for naps and bedtimes until he was about 4 months old. These swaddlers are much easier to use and much more secure than a swaddling blanket, but I did have problems as my little one got bigger than 11 lbs or so. His legs were much too long for the swaddler, but the width was still too large for him. He was a perfectly normal-sized child and I heard other parents complain about the same thing. This problem could be fixed quite easily if the manufacturers would extend the velcro holder just a little further around the side. Instead, he was able to break his arms free of the swaddler while sleeping and startle himself awake. We had to buy the larger size as his legs got longer which just exacerbated the problem. I switched around 3 months or so to the Miracle Blanket which is a little more expensive and complicated but fits better.
If you're not planning to swaddle your baby past 2 months or so, these swaddlers may work for you. The microfleece material tends to fit better because it has less give than the cotton, but it's also very warm. When the baby is essentially snuggling with himself, he gets quite warm and the fleece may be too much if you live in a heated home.
Another plus: these swaddlers make it very convenient to change a diaper in the middle of the night. You can do it without unwrapping the whole thing, which is terrific. |

I ordered this swaddle blanket before my baby was born. I had read all the reviews which were mixed, but let me tell you, it is brilliant. My little baby girl loves her swaddle blanket. She refuses to have her arms swaddled but if you swaddle just under the arms she is happy. It keeps baby snug all night long, with no worries of loose blankets.
I highly recommend this product.
For information purposes my baby was 6lb 13oz and this (small size)blanket fit, she is now 9lb 5oz and the blanket still fits. I would say it will be good upto 11lb. I have already ordered the larger size in this. |

| We used this every single night with our son and even bought the next size up when he outgrew the small size. He was sleeping through the night almost immediately. Part of that was because he was so comfy when swaddled. We used this for four months until he learned to flip to his belly and needed his arms free. A def must have for every baby! |

| We swaddle our daughter every time she goes down to take a nap. When winter came around, we wanted something warmer to swaddle her in (because we don't use blankets with her) and we came across these. They are super easy to use and the microfleece makes them warm enough for our New England winters. |

When my daughter was born, I didn't know about swaddling, and it would take me HOURS to get her to sleep! I would feed or rock her in my arms until she falls asleep, then put her in her crib... and she'd flail her arms, wake up and cry, and I had to start all over! What a nightmare!
Then I figured out that since her arms wake her, it would make sense to wrap her in something so she couldn't move them as much... so I started wrapping her in regular receiving blankets. It worked! It became much easier to get her to sleep. But then she wiggled out of those receiving blankets and wake up again.
When she was a little over a month old, somehow I came across SwaddleMe blankets on the Internet and immediately bought it. It worked like a charm! It was so easy to wrap my daughter in it, and it stayed put. My daughter started sleeping so much better!
I wish I found those blankets sooner - it would've saved me from so many sleepless nights!
I consider this blanket one of the most important baby items you could buy. It should be a must for a new mother who wants to get some sleep! |

after reading the great reviews, I bought 2 for my son, and they were useless. At 2am I was exhausted and couldn't swaddle him right, he kept coming out of it and screaming. I tried it more than once, and he just hated it, I just ended up using an oversized receiving blanket and he was happy! |

| The Swaddle Me is such a life saver! Our baby girl never slept more a than two hours at a stretch before we finally tried using this amazing swaddle. The first time she used it, she slept five hours straight and now she's sleeping through the night. She is happy and well rested, and I am too. Every baby deserves one of these. Buy two -one to wash and one to use. The fabric and quaility are great. |
