| It's ok. If you are a true eminem fan then you know all of his lyrics already, when i purchased this book i thought it really dug into the mind of this genius but it doesnt. He just tells how his life was messed up at the time in every song and some stupid stuff that was going on while he recorded each track, its really not that interesting. I am a die hard eminem fan and i didnt find this book that great. It's nice beacause it gives lyrics to some of his sick freestyles but other than that, if you really love eminem then you know everything else that is in this book and you dont need it, unless you want it like I did. I dont regret it but i have trouble recommending it to true eminem fans because it is really not necessary. |

"The struggle" has always been a mainstay that epitomizes the hip hop persona. Eminem is able to detail his struggle to make it (a.k.a. "the come up") in his book "Angry Blonde" through his descriptions of each of his songs off his first two albums and the complete lyrics to each song. His introduction paragraphs to each song are the best part of the book. These paragraphs reveal how he came up with the idea for the track, how he felt when he wrote it, and tell the reader a lot about the creative process.
Eminem's first two albums truly tell the story of the man; "The Slim Shady LP" when he was struggling just to get by and in "The Marshall Mathers LP" with his reaction to overnight celebrity. Two of the most successful albums of all-time (not just in hip hop history), these albums sold over 28 million records combined worldwide. To look into the mind of a man that could make music that would be heard by so many people and to read those words that so many heard is truly motivational. As an artist whose dream is to reach as many people as Eminem, his words and story are an inspiration and provide me with one of the driving forces behind my career. |

| I went and bought this book and it was what i had expected it to be, very good but nothing excellent. It provides an excellent insight into what eminem was thinking and the circumstances surrounding him as to why he decided to write the songs and the songs beginnings. It's good because this is written by eminem in his own words and through his feelings. the pictures are a nice supplement and so are the extra freestyles that are provided at the end of the book. very good and an essentiality for all Eminem fans. |

This is the only official book on Eminem out there. This is the reason it will always be important for Eminem fans and anyone else interested in learning about him. The misunderstandings, misinterpretations and unnessecary labeling has occured in the past because of people's lack of knowledge about this artist, therefore in this book you can find out about the real Marshall Mathers. Eminem represents a generation and his music will always be significant in popular culture and the way popular culture influences culture itself. Eminem has made a difference in a lot of people's lives and continues to be an influential figure in music. You can find a biography, analysis of lyrics from Eminem himself and other useful information. After reading this book you will be ensured (if you already were not) that Eminem is a true poet the intelligence behind the lyrics will leave you amazed and wanting more. I reccommend this book with all my heart. Enjoy :) |

| Not only does Eminem impress you with his intellect, he catches you off guard with his dialect. When I think angry men, I think of Hitler, Tyler Durden, C. Shane Stanley, Frank Black, and last but not least, Marshall Mathers. Funny thing is, one of those men are simply fiction, the others can also be called genius. I would recommend anything eminem does. So far, I havent been disapointed with his work, nor will I ever be. Anything with the E on it, buy it, you wont be disapointed. |

I read Angry Blonde, written by, the one and only Marshall Mathers (a.k.a. Eminem or Slim Shady) It's not really A "story" but it explains a lot of what he is all about and I think everyone should read it. People judge him by his songs and what he says, then they think he is such a bad person, when half of his songs is something he just came up with, a lot of his stuff was written during rough times. I think if the people that didn't like him or thought bad of him would read Angry Blonde they would understand more about him,and might think different of him. Even if the still don't like him they might not dislike him as much.....MUST READ FOR EMINEM FANS JUST LIKE ME!! |

| This book was really amazing! I got it for a Christmas present and I had been wanting it since it first came out. I think it's wonderful. It was so awesome to read through all the different pages and then look at the wonderful, full-color pictures. I loved reading every story behind every song... especially my favorite songs. It was really awesome for me to know how Eminem came up with the words to my favorite songs and what he was thinking of when he did it. The introduction alone was wonderful! I loved it. It gave you a rare glimpse at Marshall Mathers. Not Slim Shady, not Eminem, but the REAL Marshall. After that intro Eminem doesn't need to do anymore explaining about himself or his music. For anyone who doesn't understand him, the intoduction shows you what he is all about. It shows you that from the beginning all Eminem cared about was self-expression and the music. No matter what he raps about it's obvious that all Eminem tried to do was capture his feelings on paper. I recommend this book to all true Eminem fans! I think this is a book made directly and only for the fans who understand and love him (like me!) I loved listening to the song on my discman as I read the lyrics in the book. It helped me understand and feel the song better. Not to mention, the pictures were wonderful! This book is by the man himself... Eminem. So what else could you want? And why would you read anything else about him? You know none of this information is false because it's from Eminem to his fans. It is the best book and I recommend all Eminem fans go out there and pick it up! It's definitely worth every penny. |
