This product was actually less expensive than buying it through Duluth trading post, which is where I have gotten these before. Its a great product. The best part about it is that the lid is very tough to open without actually lifting the plastic tab. I have no fear of losing all my parts and pieces if it goes on its side which the very handy handle comes in very useful for. The different compartments have curved bottoms and sides so that its easy to slide the tiny screws or parts or whatever that can be hard to get out of sharp corners. The other plus is that it doubles as a seat! Used in conjunction with the bucket stackers, and the bucketboss type outside organizing pouch, these products turn an ordinary bucket into a very handy, versatile toolbox.

The "Bucket Boss Storage Bucket Seat" works more or less as described, but it really doesn't shine in any capacity.
As a seat, it fits on the 5 gallon bucket fairly snuggly and supports my not insubstantial bulk without braking, but it is very uncomfortable after just a few minutes. The open handle area prevents this from being an effective cover for the bucket if it left in the open where rain or splashed water can get into it.
As a caddy, this is only really good for small parts, connectors, fasteners, and the like. Even with the removable dividers, the curved walls limit the size of the objects that can be carried. I do like that the seat does not interfere with the use of the bucket's handle, so transporting it is very easy.
This does the job, nothing more, nothing less. |

| I bought this to hold electrical supplies while wiring a basement remodel. Worked great for holding and keeping separate the various small supplies you need (wire nuts, staples, etc.). Larger items (switches, outlets, etc.) went inside the bucket. There are stacking trays you can get separately to go inside the bucket that I recommend. One caution - the lid does not snap tightly down on the bucket. I knocked it over a few times and the bucket contents spilled out (although the compartment built into the lid did stay shut). Overall, not a big deal. I would still recommend this product. |

If you are looking for something you can place on top of a bucket, look no further. This "storage bucket seat" is easily placed on the top of a bucket. It will not go inside the bucket, or hover over the bucket, although one could (theoretically) place it next to the bucket with predictable results.
This "storage bucket seat" does not make a good lid. It does not seal, and it has no mechanism to secure itself to the top of the bucket. The item's carefully calibrated gravity-dependent engineering may be disrupted by activities such as moving or transporting the bucket. You'll be best off if you move the bucket where you want it, and then place the "storage bucket seat" on top of the bucket.
The lid to the storage area is well designed as well. It covers the storage area completely! Not one of the compartments was left uncovered when the lid is closed. The lid even sits in a slight recess, so that when the "hinge" breaks due to fatigue, the lid can still be placed above the storage area.
