I have never once had any trouble from these discs and to be honest other than a random pack of defective or warped discs I do not see the problem. I have been reading the reviews and it seems there are more than a few negative reviews and I don't get it. Like I said above other than bad luck when purchasing I don not think there is a problem with this brand as I have been using them non stop and have yet to find a problem.

I do understand that some will be warped or defective in some way but from my personal experience the y have worked just fine. I have bought both the orange and the purple and have never had a problem with either other than maybe the occasional bad disc. The disc have 4.7g's and 120 min's on each and have worked with backing files up burning movies or shows or what ever perfectly thus far.

I would recommend these discs as I have had no problem and have been using them for a year almost and they still work fine.

I own and have used these discs many times for creating backup discs and saving family photo's. They are high capacity and work well with an occasional bad disc that will not write. The speed is 16X and the capacity is 4.7GB per disc. Overall decent but not good enough to deserve 5 stars.

Don't bother trying to use these DVDs with a Mac, they won't work. I foolishly bought two spindles of blank Memorex media - CDs and DVDs - and not a single disc in either pack works. It's not my optical drive that's the problem, because other brands of media do work in my machine. So again, if you have a Mac, a Macbook, or a Macbook Pro, don't buy these discs - you'll just be throwing your money away. I've had very good luck with Sony products and will go back to using them exclusively.

These DVDs have worked perfectly for me and I have been using them with my computer and DVR connected to my HDTV. Recordings on my PC do not work with my DVR nor do my recordings on my DVR work with my PC, but that is the marketplace right now since all encoding is not standard or capatible. Standardization will eventually occur but this is not the DVD blank that is the problem but those that cause standardization to occur moving slowly.
