This, Nyrius, is the 3-way switch I ordered - from smartdigital. What I GOT is the lower-rated switch - no name what-so-ever. It does NOT indicate where it was made. [...]
Mine has a position indicator I can only see when I shine a light into the hole.
I hope it will be more durable than what some reviewers indicated. I may not be able to make any adjustments another reviewer made because it looks like the phillips screw heads have been mangled. It's supposed to be NEW.
On the plus side, the TOSLink cables are priced right - and they are working. They were from eforcity. |

| With all the new HD things such as PS3, HD DVD Players and such this was the way I could plug everything into THe TOSLINK 3 way and plug that into my surround sound receiver's optical plug . Now I can just change the source by turning a dial. Works Great & it was a great price. |

I just got one of these for myself today, and it's a pretty good device.
The only problem I had was with the In/Out connector on the back. Other reviewers had mentioned they had an issue with the fiber cable not staying plugged into this connector. I had the same problem.
Being a tinkerer, I decided to fix mine. It's fairly easy to do, and I'm uploading pictures to show just how.
The connector is spring loaded inside. Mine had two springs on it and were too heavy for the retainer on the end of the cable to stay engaged. Two springs are supposed to keep the two pieces of fiber pressed together to ensure the most signal possible.
Two springs are too much for this task, so I removed one. The single spring doesn't push the plug out of the connector, and the unit works just as well as before.
Enjoy! |

| Being that my 5.1 Onkyo receiver only has one optical input (like many receivers) it delivered as promised. I tried Radio Shack for such a device (multiple optical outlet hubs and even they don't sell such an animal) but the cashier directed me to the site, stating similar items were subpar compared to the Toslink. Just a simple turn of the switch on top switches from HD Cable to Blu-ray, CD Changer, etc. |

| The toslink connections are kind of flimsy which could be the cables, but might be the input connections, and one of the 3 switch ports did not work at all right out of the box. Get what you pay for. What works works well and switches easily however. |

| I purchased this product and was quite amazed at the quality sound from my blue-ray and terrestrial HDTV converter. I can now use optical sound for both, since my receiver has only one optical input. What a great product of which I am very pleased. |
