| I bought these same earbuds from Best Buy 5 yrs ago for a lot more money. They just gave out after 5 yrs! They are great @ the gym, on an airplane or blocking out hubby's snoring with music! They work with all of my mp3 players (Ipod touch 2nd gen too) & even on my cell phone for music listening! Sound is great & soft squishy ear buds fit inside ear & never fall out! |

| I had used these earplugs previously and was satisfied enough to order two more. However the sound is now tinny and there is not enough base. The earplugs are too big for my ears and keep falling out. As far as noise cancelling, I need a little noise as I am always walking near traffic and need to be aware of what is near. |

I bought these about five months ago. I searched Amazon's earbud sales high and low, and finally decided that I wanted these. Overall, I enjoyed my purchase.
Pros:
Great sound. I followed everyone's advice and put tape on the ends to take off some of the bass and they sounded great!
Comfortable. They fit in my ears perfectly. I just rolled 'em in my fingers, put them in my ears, held them for a second, and I could feel them expand to the size of my ear. Some of my friends couldn't get them to stay in, though.
Great price! For only like twelve bucks, they really were worth it. I've payed a lot more for worst quality buds.
Cons:
Didn't last. After only 4 months, the right ear bud started to flicker in and out. A week later and the right bud was gone entirely.
So, if you want a quick, good pair of ear buds and don't mind that they wont last long then pick these up! |

"Looking for a cheap pair of buds for your motorcycle?" | 2009-10-11 |

I recently started riding. As a very serious musician, I do not take my ears for granted. Every time I ride, I have ear plugs - in addition to the helmet. This is great for preserving my hearing in the long term - I rode once without the plugs and ended up with ear ringing for a while; a sign of permanent damage.
That was during a trip out of state - I needed to use a GPS to help me get where I was going. My bike's not a cruiser or a tourer, and there wasn't a good spot for it to sit on my handlebars, so I was listening to it instead.
This turned out to be a problem. In an effort to hear the GPS over the wind, I had to turn it to damaging levels in my ear buds. After that, I swore not to use a GPS until I found something that would isolate noise in a comfortable fashion.
After weeks of research, I decided to give these guys a try. They work just like normal ear plugs - a little bit more difficult to put in though because of the solid cores. Mostly I got these because the cost was nothing like the alternatives - some of the other sets I looked at were around $100. At under $20, it was worth a shot.
And they're fantastic. Not quite as good as normal -33db plugs, but just as comfortable (package comes with two sets, I had to use the larger plugs). The sound was only so-so; although they "boom" like some reviews say, they really don't have that low of a register (a good pair should hit around 6Hz, I think these bottomed out at 20Hz? I don't remember). But that's okay - now I can listen to a GPS while on my bike; and it's clearly over wind noise at 20-30% audio on the GPS.
There's no VOL adjust on these, so YMMV, but for $20, isn't it worth the shot? |

"Wanted to love these..." | 2009-10-09 |

| I really wanted to love these earbuds because they are so comfortable and fit perfectly in my ear. They drown out noise around me and I don't even notice they're in my ears. I've had so many problems trying to find earbuds that didn't hurt my ears when I put them in. Glory when I found these! Unfortunately I've went through 5 pairs and each one of them ended up the same way...shorted out near the ear piece. I take really good care of them, but every pair I've had seems to short out until one of the earbuds no longer works. I kept buying them because I loved them, but now it's just getting too pricey to keep purchasing over and over. They last almost a year, so I guess if you don't mind spending about 10 bucks every 7-9 months, go for it. They are worth the comfort if you can afford to replace them. |
