| Got the mailbug for a 90 year old family member who has poor hearing and trouble communicating by phone. It is much less expensive and easier to learn than a computer. If all you need is email this is a super solution. |

I bought this for my only cousin who lives far away. Now I can talk to her anytime I want to! She also has made connections with old friends and some new ones too! She had NEVER used a computer or anything like it. The instructions were simple. The fee to get it going is only $9.00 a month. She is absolutely delighted with the Mailbug.........thank you so much for a quality product and very quick delivery! Sally |

| I ordered this machine for my 75 year old mom who is very hard of hearing. She has a mailstation that has just recently died. She loves emailing everyone and since I live in another state, it's a good way to check on her every day by the emails she sends. I just got off the phone with Landel (the company that makes these machines) to go a head and set up the account for her. I was informed that she had to do it with the machine there. When I explained she can't hear, they suggested I have her return the one I ordered from Amazon and buy it from them. I'm sure Amazon would find that statement interesting. I was informed I couldn't set it up and she would have to do it or find someone who can help her. What her 80 year old friend? So I am appalled at the lack of thought that went into this set up as I'm sure there are plenty of people in my situation. So just be aware this is the case before you purchase this product. |

I finally found a replacement for the Earthlink "Mail Station" (Earthlink service extremely POOR, customer service EXTREMELY POOR). The Mail Bug customer service folks out of California are fabulous. Fast, effecient with immediate resolution. LOVE IT>and the SERVICE as well! Elizabeth August 2008 |

"Great Email Device!" | 2008-06-06 |

| I've had this MailBug Email device now for quite a while and it's a wonderful device. I had previously owned a similar item made by V-Tech but the company that provided the service (at one time it was Yahoo! and after that it was other, less known companies) dropped out and V-Tech decided to stop promoting that device. I started looking around for something similar and found this device on Amazon.com. I checked out reviews online and then purchased it. It was a wise decision on my part. I believe I've had it now for about two years. It's reliable, it's easy to use and I love the fact that it has a light that blinks to let me know when the phone is ringing or when I have email to read. I like that fact that the Landel Company is right her in the USA and though there is not a '800' to call for customer service, the customer service is not in India or Europe, it's here in the USA. I highly recommend this great little device. I love using it. |

| I bought this machine for my father who doesn't speak due to a stroke. This is his only means of communicating with people other than face to face. This machine is a bit more complicated than his previous machine. However, it is an attractive machine, very easy to read and has an excellent keyboard. The customer service is EXCELLENT. The customer service for his previous, similar email machine was horrendous. The service was undependable, it was difficult to communicate with their customer service representatives and we were actually lied to on several occasions. The Landel customer service personnel are pleasant, knowledgeable, dependable and educated in their product. The mailbug is worth every bit of the slightly higher learning curve it requires. |

| If they are over 80 and have never used a PC without help, this may not be what you want. It is good and works as advertised it's just not for everyone.... It isn't what worked for us. Maybe a voice activated machine that can cope with an 80+ year old's idiosyncrasies that is able to read minds also.............:) |

| I bought this for my elderly parents. A few years ago I bought them a mail station. Well, it died. They were lost without one. Computers are too "complicated" for my mom. So investing in a computer just to do email was out of the question. Every time that I talked to them on the phone they "whined" not having a way to communicate with my aunt in CA. The phone was out of the question and writing is hard for my mom. I came across the mailbug, what a life saver. Now, whenever they remember something to ask or tell they jump right on the mailbug. It can't be difficult to operate, after all, my mom uses it. They love it!! |

I't great, no virus worries and all my family and friends that wanted me to get a computer are happy because I have EMAIL - hooray. It is simple to learn how to use it too. I do email at least once a day. It keeps me "connected" Thanks Landel !! Helenrose |
