| This product does not work with the new iPod Touch. NO WAY, it maybe ok for other iPod's but do not waste your time if you have the new iPod Touch. |

"Works great and just as advertised" | 2008-09-09 |

| I bought this battery pack for my wife's iTouch, specifically for long plane rides where the internal battery pack won't suffice while watching movies. The Maxell battery pack gave us about 8 or 9 hours of extra video time, which was just a little less than I was expecting, but still great. So with the extra 8 hours we were able to watch video for a total of about 13 hours. And just to reinforce what others have said, this battery pack does NOT charge your iTouch internal battery. It is simply an external power source. |

"Cheap - and worth it!" | 2008-08-14 |

I bought this with one thing in mind - powering my iPod Touch on Transatlantic flights. When you watch videos, it really sucks the juice out of the internal battery on the iPod and you will be lucky to watch 2 whole movies on one charge. With this battery pack, I was able to watch 2 movies plus listen to several hours of music.
The only caveat I can add is that the instructions say that it will power the unit, but not charge the internal battery. When I plugged it into my iPod with a nearly exhausted battery, it did indeed charge the internal battery pack. This is not a big deal because it did what it promised which is a fairly inexpensive way to extend my time. |

"Works with 16GB iPod Touch!" | 2008-08-02 |

This works well with my 16GB iPod Touch. It does NOT charge the iPod (which is actually why I bought it - I previously used a To Go Portable Power IPod Energizer battery pack/charger with my 80GC iPod Classic and it made the iPod do strange things. I wanted a battery pack that simply ran my Touch, but didn't try to charge it), but runs it just fine.
This is essential for long trips or anytime you won't have access to a computer or wall outlet to charge the iPod. Yes, it is bulky and a bit awkward, and I don't see why they bother including a belt clip because I can't imagine anyone carrying this along with their iPod on their belt, but for my purposes (sitting on an airplane) it is totally worth the size and weight. It is set up to accept the (thicker) iPod Classic, so the Touch sits very loosely in the cradle.
As another reviewer mentioned, the battery level indication lights are not accurate. I started out with 4 fully charged Sanyo Eneloop AA batteries, and I immediately tested the indicator lights, of which only 3 green lights appeared. It's also worth noting that the green lights are difficult to see, they are sort of recessed behind the blue power light. Not a big deal to me, as I will always carry 2 sets of AA batteries anyway.
I haven't used it long enough to see how long it allows the iPod Touch to run for, but I will post an update once I do. |

Works as described!!! I have an Ipod Touch and it works great!! It does not charge it though, the battery in the touch just doesn't drain as you use it.
The lights that say how much power it has can vary and is not always accurate. Unless its on and plugged in it will give faulty readings on its true power.
Overall it was worth the money spent!!! Will buy from again! it came in 2 days with standard shipping! Great people to deal with!!!! |

| My parents were going to Italy for 2 weeks and wouldn't have any way of charging their new 4GB iPod Nano. I did a bunch of research and chose the maxell battery pack because it had (mostly) excellent reviews, it ran off of AAA batteries instead of some exotic battery that only radio shack sells, and everything else on the market received such poor reviews. When my parents returned, they said it worked perfectly. They were able to use the iPod the entire time and they never even needed to change the batteries! It is so nice when an object actually does what it was purchased to do. |

"Good backup battery pack" | 2008-06-30 |

| I bought this mainly because I have some flights coming up. For this purpose, the device does what it's designed to do. The other thing I like about the thing is that it uses regular AA batteries, which one can practically purchase anywhere. I do not like the other rechargeable solutions because one needs a power source to get extra capacity. The one thing that I do not like about this battery pack is that the connector is for an iPod only; I wish that it has a USB connector so that I can use it for other portable devices as well. |
