"100MB limitation for files copied directly in the root directory" | 2008-05-06 |

I've had the card for several months, and have used it happily in my digital camera and PDA without any problems. I actually like the problem very much, but I am writing about a minor issue, though esoteric, that I experienced.
Today, I was trying to load photos onto the SD card to use in a digital photo frame, and I noticed that I could not copy beyond 100MB, no matter what I did. I tried deleting all the files and recopying, etc., without success. I erroneously thought it was the problem with the digital photo frame, since it worked fine in my digital camera and PDA.
It turned out that the problem has to do with the limitation of this SD card (I am not sure if this is a problem with ALL SD cards, or just this one), was that there is a 100MB limitation if you copy files onto the root directory of the SD card. The solution was to make a folder (any name - I called it Photos), and copy the files onto the folder. It worked.
Kingston Tech support experience was positive. I was able to get a live person right away, and the minute I described the problem, the support person gave me the solution instantaneously. I suppose this was not the first time someone called about this issue.
I hope this helps you. |

"Great Memory Card at a Great Price!" | 2007-11-13 |

| I needed a memory card for my new camera. When searching for one, I came across the Kingston Elite Pro card. I have always had good luck with Kingston products, and their customer service is awesome. Better yet, the price from Amazon was really good. I purchased the card, and have no troubles with it at all. |

"A money-saving SD card" | 2007-09-15 |

I've used this Kingston SD card in at least five different cameras with fully satisfactory results, subject to the qualification in the next paragraph. It works as well for me as the more expensive brands.
One thing I've found is that a given camera is apt to reject a card, regardless if it's Kingston or some more expensive and highly-advertised brand, for no apparent reason. Put the card into another camera, and the card will likely be accepted. I have no idea why this is. I guarantee that spending more money will not solve this problem!
So I've had to swap cards around a bit, but eventually out of the three 1GB SD cards I have at present (two Kingston and one big name-brand), I find one that a given camera will tolerate. None of the cards has outright failed; it's just that cameras seem to be very picky sometimes.
Personally, I intend to buy Kingston from now on. I see no reason to spend a lot more for the same performance. |

| Not much to say about this card except for it works, it is fast, and I've had several and none of them have ever failed me. If you normally look to SanDisk or Lexar, Kingston is a good alternative. |
