Had this a month and if it holds up over time I'd say it's the best kitchen item I've bought in years. Makes smoothies incredibly easy - frozen strawberries get blended instantly without effort. If the unit kicks out in less than two years I'll be back with a caution, but so far I couldn't be more pleased.

I love this product. I thought that I was just the worst smoothy maker around, but turns out it was my blender. I got this hand held and I now make the best smoothies! I use it to puree, blend mix, etc. I just love it. I bought two more to give as presents and plan on buying one more for my mom!

I'm really surprised to see the negative reviews. We use the blender several times a day and the chopper several times a week. We love it. We've had several other immersion blenders and mini choppers and this one out-performs all of them. I have absolutely no complaints about it.

I purchased the Cuisinart Smart Stick Blender for our sailboat galley. After sailing for 3 1/2 months in the Bahamas this winter without such a tool, I decided I needed one, and easily found the perfect solution at Amazon. It is very versatile and easy to stow in tight quarters.

I love kitchen tools that perform and have longevity. This blender is well built and is very capable. I've used it to blend anything from hardy soups/stews to berry smoothies, ice creams, etc. For nearly a year it's performed reliably. The flaw in the design, however, is the blade on the chopper. The metal can chip and bend if used with hard veggies frequently. It's the weakest link and the only thing that's malfunctioned since its purchase. As a result I stopped relying on it as a chopper and keep it mostly as a blender. So, it's a great tool but no, it doesn't replace the full sized food processor.

I was a little worried after reading some of the negative reviews and to be fair, I've only owned this for a week or so. But so far, I love it! I use it primarily for making small batches of pureed vegetables (for recipes out of Jessica Seinfeld's "Deceptively Delicious") and it blends and purees so easily. I use the chopper attachment to turn the food into a mushy solid, then switch to the beaker/hand blender to finish it off as a puree. The best part is, cleaning is a snap - the blade pops right out of the chopper attachment, so you just clean each part separately (or toss them in the dishwasher) and you can use it again. Maybe a standard food processor would suit the people who've complained of it not holding up...because I think if for light blending/pureeing/mixing, this definitely gets the job done well. I will also say if you're in tight living quarters, it's great as this stores very easily - unlike a clunky food processor!

It is durable, easy to use, and does a great job. For me, it is a replacement of one that burned out at an awkward time. This one looks as though it would never burn out. It is easy to clean and disassemble. A longer cord would be nice, but it isn't bad.

This mixer has so many problems (see previous Amazon reviews) I do not have the time to comment on them now. I want to report that the motor portion of the mixer is now stripped after 4, thats right, FOUR uses. There is a plastic housing around the gear shaft, which drives the attachments. It cannot operate any attachments now that the housing is stripped. I always attached it and cleaned it properly, so my thoughts are this product is a lemon and I will NEVER buy anything with Cuisinart on it.

The more I use it, the more disappointed I am. As an immersion blender it works OK - but as a chopper it's pretty useless. The instructions tell you to chop onion into 1/2" pieces before putting into the chopper. Are they kidding?! Why would I bother to put an onion into a chopping device after having chopped it into 1/2" pieces?! I tried cutting onion into quarters but no good - some pieces turn into gruel and big ones get hung up on the blade. In addition, it's heavy, and the bottom is almost but not quite flat so when you take it out of the bowl and set it on the counter it wobbles, spilling whatever you've just blended all over the counter. If you need an immersion blender, buy one for $20 and don't bother with this thing. Sometimes I wonder if anybody who actually cooks designs any of this stuff.
