| The Foreman grill makes healthy cooking quick and easy. It's amazing the amount of grease that you see from the things you cook, even from "lean" meats. This grill helps me eat healthy and keep the weight off. Then once your done all you do is pop off the grill plates and put them in the dishwasher for easy clean up. It doesn't get much better than this. I would recommend this grill to any and everyone I know! |

"NOT HOT ENOUGH" | 2009-10-16 |

I'm ordering a replacement Geo Foreman grill w/ non-removable plates (family size), as I wasn't happy with the results of this removable plates grill.
I think the problem is a DESIGN ISSUE, not a manuf defect. The removable plates have no DIRECT CONTACT with the heating unit and doesn't have the same cooking mechanism as the non-removable plates. The cooking surface never gets hot enough, like the orig designed Geo Foreman grills.
I orig bought this grill last year and hoped it would perform like my orig tiny Geo Foreman grill. Once I received it, I stupidly, threw out my tiny grill the same nite! Boy oh boy, a Geo Foreman w/ removable grill plates for easy cleanup! That weekend, I used the grill for the first time. It was a complete failure, took over 20min to get a burger cooked (it was well done inside and never got the "grill marks" of the orig tiny mini grill.) 20 minutes? I contacted AMAZON.com about the unit that never worked right, and Amazon.com DID REPLACE THE UNIT (the defective dud unit). Now the 2nd unit with removable plates was able to get HOT, but NOT HOT ENOUGH to do burgers in the same 6-7min for with grill marks and all and still pink inside (it took 10-12min w/ some grill marks).
Again, I think the problem is a DESIGN ISSUE, not a manuf defect. The removable plates have no DIRECT CONTACT with the heating unit and doesn't have the same cooking mechanism as the non-removable plates.
I give up. I'm going back to the cumbersome non-removable plate Geo Foreman grill machine.

| The removable Plates have been a real pleasure to have. I cook bacon a lot and this makes a lot of grease. I am so glad to have all that grease away from my bacon. Being able to take the plates off and place them in the dish washer is wonderful. |

I Came on Here thinking of buying a grill to cook steaks, chicken, and other cookout foods with bc im tired of the guys kicking me outside to battle the elements or bugs or nature or any kind to cook food! So I thought about purchasing the Grilleration and saw this little beauty. I did my homework and saw all the reviews and despite that I wanted it give it a try. So I went to my lil stores down here in Concord and in Charlotte....BigLots, and Burkes had this grill for $25 and it was a Monday so I got 15% my purchase (of course being a girl I bought other stuff) but my point is I basically paid only $28 bc I do drive a diesel. Now the Fun part.
The first time I used it I cooked steaks and they came out a little underdone which was easily fixed with putting em back on for another few minutes. The 2nd time I cooked chicken and it came out a little crisy or as I like to think of it as well done!! But the 3rd time I cooked Steaks again and they came out perfect and Im not talking about thin im talking bout the nice big thick ones!!! I do have to say that it does take a few mins to warm up but it heats up fasts and I find myself using it almost every night so much better than cooking outdoors and fighting bugs and elements!. And clean up is a breeze....You unsnap spray down lightly scrub rinse and clean that easy....seriously!!! And it does take practice and it does take a lil longer on this grill then the other lil grills but there is more room to cook so half a dozen of one six of another right?! But I've had this grill for about 2 wks and it just started making this ticking sound so idk what that about. |

"Beware of safety issues with Foreman grills" | 2009-08-13 |
| - Reviewed By User: A3N6FGPSVPZBQ2 |
| The grill I purchased for my elderly parents flared an electrical spark and it was discovered that it is not properly grounded. They sent it to the Underwriters Laboratory who examined it and returned it with the notation that it may not be safe to use. They had owned two previous Foreman grills and very much enjoyed the convenience. However, now they will not use one. This was reported to Salton, who distributes these grills, and they simply replied they would pass the info along to their engineers. The electrical spark may have been a fluke with that particular unit, but I will not trust that these products are safe to use. |
