"Bought Used" | 2009-11-20 |

I bought this cable used (missing the packaging) so that I could have the full HD gaming experience on a budget. I've only had it for a few hours now but I am greatly satisfied--it's everything I wished for and more. The colors were not washed out or anything of the sort for me, as other reviewers have complained, and the sound was much better when hooked up to speakers instead of my cheap 19" television.
Word to the wise however, make sure that if you buy used you purchase one that comes with the adapter--otherwise you'll be limited in your sound options. |

im not sure what the "washed out color" camp is seeing, but my picture looks great, maybe they need to adjust their monitors.
i figured i'd save some money and buy a generic cable, but i got a ton of ghosting: we're talking seeing a double image about 2 inches over. i bought the brand name cable and even running it through a 50' extension it looks great. worth the extra money. |

| I wish they were DVI not analog but other than that, they're perfect. (I couldn't find a single true DVI cable so I'm guessing it's an xbox issue) They even come with a little adapter so you can convert the left right plugs into a standard headphone jack. They plugged right into my 22" samsung gaming monitor. the picture is great and took all of 30 seconds for me to setup with the correct resolution. |

I got it about 3 days sooner than expected.
The Xbox 360 interface looks brilliant on a monitor, in my case I have a 22" LCD. The Xbox 360 lets you choose a resolution that is good for your monitor, it defaults to 640x480 for compatibility's sake. But all the common resolutions (up to and including 1080p) are present. In my case my monitor is 1680 x 1050 (a common maximum for 22" monitors) and I was able to choose that.
Plus and play, and no compatibility worries because it's made by Microsoft. |

"Helps with Input Lag too!" | 2009-07-24 |

| I recently purchased my second HDTV (Panasonic G10 plasma), and hooked up my Xbox360 via HDMI, which looks amazing, but being that I play Halo 3 it still had a noticeable enough amount of input lag, which caused me to be off just enough to suck! To this '09 gen HDTV's credit, the lag was far less than that of my old Vizio which was virtually unplayeable. Anyway, I googled around and noticed that Major League Gaming setup uses a VGA cable. This cable is great, via Xbox System Settings, you can choose the resolution to match your TVs native setting, my TV can actually be set up to match the resolution of the source as well. With the source resolution and TV resolution matching, the TV must not have to do any processing, because I noticed no lag and a lot more HEAD SHOTS! The image quality is great too, maybe just slightly worse than HDMI. It is also nice that the console end of the cable comes with the Fiber Optic connection option, playing Halo 3 with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround is a totally different animal, I am finally fully immersed in this game!!! |

| Works great on my 17inch non-widescreen monitor. Would definitely recommend others picking it up from Amazon as their price is hard to beat. |
