I'm writing this now because after getting this toy 3 and a half years ago the bungee cord on it has finally given up the ghost. This was such a great toy, I'm going to locate another cord to replace it.
Our kids have loved this: they bouce on it all the time (even my 6 year old) and really develop some excellent strength and coordination.
This is actually one of the top 3 best toys we've ever bought our kids. |

"Bungee Broke on Sharp Edges of Rings" | 2008-07-17 |

| The bungee broke. Upon further inspection we saw that the rings were rough and sharp which was wearing away at the bungee. I purchased a replacement bungee and will try to smooth the rings before reassembly. This is a major manufacturers default for a somewhat expensive item. My kid loves it so that is why I am going to the trouble to fix it. |

Oh, god! Not another 5 star review. Well, yes it is, and with reason. I have two girls, now 7 and 4. We have had the trampoline for 3 years now, and they still use it every day. They fight over who gets to jump on it EVERY DAY! Can you name any other toy that can come close to that amount of utility. I can't. We live in NYC, so this has been very handy when the girls can't go outside.
Some issues: children can jump too high, causing the trampoline to become unstable on the side of the handlebar. To solve this, we just put the handlebar up against a wall. No more issues.
Also, the foam padding on the bar has worn away (no big deal) and the hex nut connectors work their way loose and can be lost. But Galt, like most good toy manufacturers, will gladly send you replacements for free.
The quality of the trampoline is very good. Given the extreme amount of use it has had, it is still in very good shape. I just wish every toy I bought got this much use.

| Our two year old granddaughter loves this trampoline. She uses it for jumping and for resting, playing with toys and as a place to sit while watching TV. Her Dad and grandfather had quite an adventure assembling it. It seemed to be very difficult, but now that it is together it seems sturdy. |

"Not a good design" | 2008-04-30 |

| Had this trampoline for a year, and had to replace the bungee cord 3 times, the first time Galt replaced at no charge, but every couple of months the cord would break again. At $20 a cord, I wasn't going to keep replacing it,especially for the price I paid for the trampoline. I put electrical tape on the screws and anywhere there was metal or a rough edge rubbing against the cord, unfortunately it has metal grommets and I believe that is the problem. I put it out for the trash this morning, and I'm buying one that has plastic grommets. Other than this problem, my kids loved it, unfortunately it sat broken most of the time because I got so tired of having to replace the bungee cord....AND my kids didn't use it constantly, so it's not a very good design in my opinion. |

I bought this trampoline for my son who loves bouncing on the sofa and beds, and before I finished assembly, he started to hover over it and tried to climb all over it. He knew what it was for.
Assembly took 15 minutes. The hard part was the anorexic instructions that consisted of images on a sheet of paper, not actual directions -- was my manual missing? Getting the bungee cord taut was also harder without another person, but I did it myself by bracing my legs against the frame's legs and pulling the cord back toward me. Be careful: you may get rope burn on your palms if you pull too fast.
So far my son loves jumping on this thing, and although it is a one-trick pony, it satisfies the need to jump while providing a good cardio-vascular release. It also teaches balance and gross motor coordination. Although my son has not tipped the trampoline up and over yet, I believe that teaching him to jump straight will curb tippyness instead of letting him jump at an angle into the handle. I agree that a spring-loaded trampoline would work better for jumping, but I'm actually glad that the bungee reduces altitude for young tots. When my son is older, he can graduate to a "real" trampoline. And I must say that I am right there to supervise and catch him.
I also agree with other reviewers that the price is high, but you need to weigh that in relation to your inclement weather and kids' being trapped indoors with not much explosive-exercise opportunities to channel their high energy. With multikid households, the price doesn't seem all that steep -- remember what you paid for a Jumperoo and Exersaucer? And I bet one can find another etailer that offers a much lower price.
I will definitely update this review in the near future to reflect ongoing use. |

This is a great toy for any little one with extra energy to burn. My little girl jumps throughout the day. She is only 2 and is already challenging herself on it. At her weight she really gets some air - we will see as she gets bigger.
The trampoline was fairly easy to put together with two people.
I spent a lot of time searching, and this was a great price. |

| My two daughters (ages 4 & 2 1/2) thoroughly enjoy their new indoor/outdoor trampoline. It seems to be very sturdy, and it wasn't too difficult or time consuming to assemble. I was inspired to purchase a trampoline after I saw how much my 2 1/2 year old enjoyed jumping on one at her Tumble Tots class. I do fear that it may eventually fall forward when they jump, but knock on wood, it hasn't happened. My kids like to swing from the bar, but I try to discourage that immediately. The only real problem we've had with the trampoline is the sharing factor. You know how kids can be? Regardless, it is instant entertainment with just the right amount of exercise for your little one. |

| We have had this trampoline for exactly 2 months, and my 2 year old uses it everyday when watching his DVDs. This morning, however, the bungee cord broke while my son was jumping on it. My husband was able to stretch the longest part of the existing cord enough to fix it temporarily, but we have to get a replacement cord because my son loves this trampoline and uses it so much. Besides the broken bungee, this is probably the best gift my son has ever received! For a child who loves to bounce, this is a great toy to have around--especially on a rainy day! |
