"GREAT EVERYDAY CAMERA" | 2008-05-27 |

| I have had this camera for about 2 years but I'm about to sell it to my dad. It truly is a great camera for everyday use and special events within families. However I needed even higher resolution and a camera with room for more expansion since I'm pursuing photography as a career. This camera is amazingly easy to use. There's nothing tricky about it. It takes wonderful photos and I particularly like the sport mode. One negative I found is the shutter lag is rather slow though. Having an active 2 year old whos constantly on the go, some great photos were never caught because by the time the camera actually took the picture the moment was gone or the smile had disappeared. ButI must say that most camera's of this type within similar price range all have about the same shutter lag typically. Nonetheless, It is an excellent everyday digital camera assuming you're not an avid photographer. Hope this helped. |

About 9 months ago a Kodak Z710 was purchased for me by my superior to record the various landscape features. It is about half the size and weight of my film camera. With 1 GB memory card I am able to take many good pictures and review them on the computer screen.
In April, 2008 I decided to buy a digital camera (Z650) for myself through Amazon. Because I was familiar with the Z710, it was an easy choice to purchase another Kodak. I checked Steve Digicams website and found that the Z650 was a good camera.
Ordering from Amazon was easy and Amazon kept me informed as to the delivery progress of my order. The camera arrived on time and the bill was exactly as stated earlier.

"Kodak Z650 - A Wonderful Camera" | 2008-02-11 |

Dude, I completely lucked out when I bought this camera... :)
I was at Office Max, looking for a laptop bag I needed for a trip, and I'd stumbled upon the Kodak Z650 while the store was doing an inventory. They had a sticker on the box that read "do not inventory", and, more importantly, another sticker with a new price on it - $99.99!
Needless to say, I bought it right up!
I wanted to explain that because this is a one-hundred dollar camera to me, so my opinion of it may be a bit skewed.
I've owned the Z650 for a few months, and I've gotten to where I feel very comfortable using it.
Even for twice the price I got it at, this is a wonderful piece of serious photographic equipment. I know you SLR people are probably laughing at me right now, but it's true.
Besides, not all of us like to look through a viewfinder to shoot photos. One nice thing about the Z650 is that you can toggle between the ample LCD and the EVF with the touch of a button. I find myself using the EVF when shooting with the 10X zoom.
A note on the zoom feature - it's a 5X DIGITAL zoom, the other five, you're on your own with. Beyond its digital limit, and depending upon the subject, images can get somewhat blurry. This can also be attributed to the camera's lack of image stablization. Kodak Gear (Tiffen) makes an excellent 60" tripod that can greatly improve upon these minor imperfections. In fact, 47th Street Photo sold it to me (here on Amazon) for $9.95! Great people, and it arrived at my door in two days time using standard shipping...
Okay, I'm straying a bit here...
The Z650's menus are both easily accessable and easy to understand.
In addition to several pre-programmed scene and automatic modes, the camera also gives you the option going fully manual - a must for me, because one of my favorite subjects to photograph is the night sky (a couple of my photographic endeavors can be viewed in the customer images for this camera). I'm still tinkering around with shutter settings and whatnot, but I'm getting what I consider to be very good results from my Kodak.
All in all, I'm very content with the Z650, and I would recommend it highly. If you're thinking about buying it, I hope this little review helped you out! |

I bought this camera with the bundle for a really great price. It was the last camera and bundle in stock for the price so I snatched it up before researching it. I was impressed by the 10x optical zoom at first. But, when I started using it I found myself very disappointed. Almost every picture I took after zooming in was blurry. I have a pretty steady hand so this was completely frustrating. What's the point of having 10x optical zoom if the pictures turn out blurry almost every time? I also HATE the delay after pushing the button to take the picture. I've missed many great shots because of this camera. It's horrible in low-light situations too. I'm sure there are some pros, but I haven't found any yet.
I'm selling this camera and buying a Canon or Panasonic that has image stabilization, face recognition and less of a delay when taking a picture. |

| I truly enjoy using my z650 and it takes superb pictures until now... I've only had my camera for less than a year and when I take photos, I'm getting a hazy photo with fine horizontal lines going across the display or it just shows up white. I raved about my camera prior to this malfunction. If it's something that I'm doing or "not" doing then I say go for it and purchase the product; however, if my camera is going haywire already then continue searching. Check a kodak z650 forum online to see what the problem may be. That's where I'm going now... |

| The zoom is spectacular, and it is easy to purchase accessories for the lens. I always have my wide-angle and tele-photo lenses ready for superior photographs from my Z650. I highly recommend using the Kodak Ni-MH Lithium Ion battery pack with this camera for optimal performance, since rechargeable AA's drain too quickly. |

| I bought this a year ago to replace my 35mm Pentax. I bought it from Amazon & it came with the camera dock and a KODAK Lens Adapter, 45.5 to 55 mm. I love the pictures that it takes. As far as the batteries, when you set the camera on the camera dock, the batteries recharge. I don't have any trouble with the lens cap staying on because it snaps into the lens adapter, which I usually keep on to protect the lens. |
