"Quality product, great mounting options, pause feature great." | 2008-10-04 |

| I really like my skyfi2. The pause feature is great. This unit is easy to use. It does not give you the option of changing the screen color, which makes a difference when you do allot of night driving. The car kit comes with many mounting options to fit almost any application (temporary or permanent). I do not really like the scroll wheel. In DIRECT TUNE mode you must turn the wheel one click to make it WAKE UP. The second click will cause it to change the channel. This is really annoying when you want to go through the channels one at a time to discover new channels that you might like. However the remote control has UP/DOWN buttons that allow channel by channel navigation to be simple just like a tv remote. |

"poor reception in mountainous areas" | 2008-08-04 |

| Purchased this satellite receiver to use at a vacation home in the mountains of southern california. I already own a 4+ year old delphi roady that had no issues in this regard, but decided to get a second receiver so I would not have to transport the roady back and forth from my home to the mountains and it always received a great signal from the satellite. The new receiver was incapable of even being able to locate or load the signal in order to activate an additonal account with xm. I activated the device in town without difficulty but as soon as I moved it back to the mountains, no signal could be found. NOT RECOMMENDED for anyone who needs good satellite reception in mountains. BE WARNED that xm customer service is not helpfull or forthcoming with issues related to placement of this receiver. |

"The new SkyFi2" | 2008-07-23 |

| This was a replacement for the SkyFi2 I purchased about 3 years ago. (The old one was stolen)The old one would transmit thru the Fm modulator to my auto stereo perfectly. This new one must not have the same type of modulator, as it won't transmit to my auto stereo. It does, but fades in and out and usually with a LOT of static, just like there was no antenna hooked up. It will work fine with the cassette adapter and the gizmo that you have to run out and put on the outside antenna. I don't like either of those methods. I like XM radio, but not the changes made to this SkyFi2 receiver! |

| I bought a SkyFi2 a while back, for a song (pun) at $19.99 (special from XM). I already had a Pioneer Inno, but thought this would work great wired into my stereo. Drats, didn't read the small print and didn't understand that there was no remote control volume as on my Inno. So....after months of not really using it as I had intended, I discovered the bow tie boom box for the SkyFi2, here on Amazon. $24 for the boom box and $20 for the SkyFi, and now you're talking! Good sound, good sound--- not like $10,000 gear, but now I can carry great XM programming with me wherever I go- den, patio, picnic, etc. This is a fabulous combination!!! |

"This is alright, but I like Sirius better. More features." | 2008-06-26 |

| Bought this for a blind friend in a rest home. XM has more PG rated shows. It works great, the company who sold the unit was great. But since I am a Howard Stern fan and enjoy Sirius, for my old blind lady friend I think the PG version XM was better for her. XM and Sirius will merge soon then all the shows will be mixed and available on both XM and Sirius radios. Gotta Go Howards on. |

| Delphi did pretty well with the design and operational logic on this receiver. The display is big and clear, controls are simple and not crowded together like the itty bitty bead buttons you see on a lot of modern electronics. Menus are reasonably intuitive too. My only (small) complaint is rotating the dial moves the display cursor in the opposite direction you would expect. |

This receiver has 3 preset channels A,B &C with 10 channel settings on each. It also has direct tune feature. You can scroll through the channel settings with the remote or the dial on the receiver itself. You can go back for the last thirty minutes of programing & play it again if you really like it or you were out of the room & missed it. I have three of these & REALLY LIKE THEM! |

"Easy to Use" | 2008-05-28 |

| I received this for Christmas 2004 and it is still going strong almost 4 years later. The receiver is easy to use and easily picks up a signal, even indoors. I have it docked with a Delphi boom box in my office, which has no windows, and still can listen to it most of the time. On the negative side, the display screen is a little difficult to keep clean and the silver finish easily scratches off. Overall, I've been pleased with this item. In terms of the service provided by XM Radio, it bothers me that they have increased their pricing and I don't like the billing options but I will not let the service aspect influence my rating of this item. Service is, however, something you will want to consider and research a little before deciding to buy this. |
