| At twenty dollars these headphones are amazing value. Small lightweight with a nice finish. I have a big head and they fit fine, they also fit over my ears and are very comfortable (my ears are average size but not small). Sound quality is great and noise canceling also very good. I didn't know they were active noise canceling but it seems they are. |

| Really enjoy using the the headphones. I use them on airplanes (I travel frequently for business). I use the noise cancellation while on the planes and it works very well. I purchased these because I lost my last pair of noise cancellation headphones. These are a nice replacement and work just as well as those (which cost more). I also use the included adapter to plug into my guitar amplifier so I can practice without disturbing the rest of the family. My wife likes this feature the most! |

"Overall a good pair of Headphones !" | 2008-10-04 |

| I purchased these head phones from a Amazon.com Marketplace seller and have been very happy with them. I recieved these on sale for less than half the original price which is what I believe they are truly priced accurately. The head phones function fine and are very confortable. Where they differ is on the higher volume levels they tend to distort, but if you keep the volume at a less than earth rocking level they will perform just fine. |

"Decent product, but you are better off spending a little more $$$" | 2008-10-03 |

| I first bought these after a friend recommended them to me and having read decent reviews for them, I thought they were a good buy for the price. I used them almost daily for 9 months or so with generally decent results. I am not an audiophile, but I can tell good sound from great sound and these were just OK in terms of sound quality. Decent low end response, but the high end was lacking a little, lyrics could sometimes be a little fuzzy. Also, with cheaper noise canceling headphones, you will get a buzzing sound that interferes with the enjoyment of the music. These do that ALOT and I found it annoying.br /br /My biggest gripe about these headphones was the quality of construction. The headband is very flimsy and has a tendency to warp and bend. Also, the hinge points near the ear cups eventually failed, making them very uncomfortable. I was never rough with them and granted I did use them everyday, I still expected them to last longer then 9 months. br /br /I ended up buying the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7 and have been nothing but pleased with them. Although the ATH-ANC7 cost three times as much, you are getting a FAR BETTER product, on every level (sound quality, construction, comfort) I'm not saying you have to buy those specifically, but be warned about the HN-110, they may be inexpensive, but like most things, you get what you pay for. |

"Excellent Value" | 2008-10-01 |

| I purchased the HN 110's about 1 month ago. I use them almost exclusively on aircraft to reduce noise fatigue, many times without music. The Amazon price was great. I have owned several other noise cancelling headphones, from Sennheiser to Logitech(couldn't afford Bose). The Philips represent an excellent value. While some have complained about the comfort on the ears, I have had no difficulty as long as I am careful about positioning them properly. I like the fact that when the noise reduction circuitry is activated, the volume is not increased as well. The phones provide a very respectable level of noise reduction, especially the white noise on aircraft. Two negatives: 1) the cord cannot be removed from the headphones. So when using them strictly for noise cancellation (without music) the cord is annoying. This is one feature I liked about the Logitech phones (no longer produced, and very fragile). 2)The noise cancelling on-off switch is difficult to activate by feel as it is not raised sufficiently. All in all though, you can't beat these phones for the price. |

| I bought these headphones to wear while cutting the grass and was very impressed for a while - I only had to turn up the volume on the music a little bit. For noise cancelling, I'd give these five stars. br /br /Eventually the left earcup fell off so they are no longer useful for the purpose for which they were bought. They made through a year before breaking so two stars for quality.br /br /Comfort isn't so good either. Two stars for comfort. |

| I notice several reviewers compare these to headphones priced at over $100, but these only cost $25 with shipping here!br /For that price the noise canceling is great; I am always surprised how loud the environment is when I take them off, and these *really* help on my long bus rides to school.br /To contradict some of the other reviews I have read, these headphones *do* get loud enough, and the noise canceling feature *does* boost the volume level.br /While I understand what some people mean about these not producing bass you can feel, they sound as well as I expected, which is not bad at all. |

I've had my head phones for little over a year now. I found them comfortable to wear and not too trying on the ear drums, which was what I really wanted. All in all, the product I expected. However, less than a month ago some of the screws came out on the left side of the headphones, and the plastic began to crack. The metal bands that run over the head (keeping the ear phones in place) have come loose, and now my headphones resemble a do-it-yourself project. This is unfortunate, because they still work fine.
I'm not giving it a 4 because I'm not sure what caused the cracking and loose screws. However, I will add that up until last month, I was extremely happy with this product, and would have readily recommended it to anyone. I only wish it had lasted longer. |

BOTTOM LINE: good for the money but wont make you go WOW! |

"Good quality compact headphones - FOUND: way to improve cushioning on the headbands!" | 2008-08-30 |

After a disastrous decision to purchase the JVC's with the hinge in the top that digs right into your skin, I purchased these. The fit over my ears is snug and very comfortable. I've yet to really test the noise canceling on an airplane, but I will in December.
The sound on Half-Life 2 was great, and I did notice how the noise canceling muted my room fan a bit. Their ability to fold up to a more compact space was great for saving some room in my desk. They also come with a large audio adapter, airplane adapter, and a nice carrying case.
My only complaint was the thin leather covering around the two headbands. I didn't feel that the leather was thick or soft enough to really make them pleasurable to wear without a lot of fidgeting and positioning.
However, after a trip to Bed, Bath & Beyond and a purchase of their "Multi-Purpose Felt Variety Pack" for $12.99 (which is ordinarily used to protect furniture and counter tops from heavy items) a solution was found!
This pack comes a large, rectangular pad that can be custom cut with a pair of strong, sharp scissors. I got out my Fiskars and cut two 1/4 inch strips along the longer side, peeled off the adhesive backing, applied the strips to the underside of the two bands and PRESTO! Extra cushioning that's comfortable, will stay in place and keep my follicle-challenged, chrome dome happy!
