"Made to last less than ONE YEAR!" | 2008-08-18 |

| What a great bargain for an all-in-one printer. The first one we bought last year and within 60 days the carriage was jamming for no apparent reason, tried troubleshooting and tech support but we had to fight nail and tooth just to get an exchange. Finally able to exchange the printer for identical model and all is well for about 9 months. Suddenly the carriage was jamming and tearing the paper. Tried online troubleshooting, tried everything under the sun to fix the problem then tried HP. Called HP tech support and they tell me that there is a 90 day warranty and it has expired that I need to pay $35 over the phone to talk to tech support (which provide the same info. as online troubleshooting). So I ask HP where I can have the printer serviced or repaired and I am told that they have no information about that. So I ask HP for their mailing address to send my version of a hate letter to the head of their company, and I am told they have no mailing address and the guy on the other end of the phone repeats the HP website address. UNREAL - I am surprised that HP is not concerned about the consumer's problems with their products. Obviously this thing is defective (we had two of them with the same exact problems). No wonder this printer is now on clearance at my local Staples store for $60. I do not recommend this product and I caution buying HP products because the company is not very helpful when their products fail to perform. |

"HP quality has declined" | 2008-08-10 |

I bought this to replace our HP psc 1200 which had given good service for many years. Our previous all-in-one always worked on any computer we installed the software in. The 5610 installs a huge software package. It screwed up the Fuji camera software I'd been using. The HP software I had for my last printer could be interupted at any time; I'd pull the paper supply out, then cancel whatever I didn't want in the print queue. The software for the 5610 has a very hard time cancelling a document; at the least it insists on wasting an extra sheet of paper. Worse, I now have a document that can't be cancelled at all and it's got the computer completely frozen up. The paper feed is messed up and ruins documents especially when you're using HP's most expensive photo paper and ink. The photo printing quality is not great unless you use the very highest settings and then it is extremely slow (think 30 minutes per picture) and most likely to ruin your pictures by misfeeding or software glitches. This HP is garbage. Try a different brand. |

| We had been in the market for a new printer for about 2 months. Our son will be a senior in high school this year, and we knew we wanted a printer great for text printing for college applications, etc. This unit does it all! I have found the fax machine very handy as well. I am very pleased with our choice! |

I bought the produce because of my belief in HP products, not to mention the great bang-for-the-buck (which I thought was great).
Unfortunately the first one I received did not work properly. Everything it printed was angled upward from left to right. HP support kind of dragged their feet about swapping it out. Fortunately Amazon swapped it with no questions asked. The second unit has worked properly and I am pleased with it thus far. |

| After using the HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One I can truly say this is one of the finest printers I've had in the price range. It is quiet and the printing is top notch. I can attest to the quality of copying documents and really enjoyed the easy setup procedure when I installed it on my computer. The easy one touch control panel for processing copy jobs is a nice feature also. |

| I was just looking for a multi-use printer that would get me through grad school, but this device turned out to be a great buy. I have used the printing, copying, and scanning features and have had really good luck. I have not yet tried the faxing, but will be putting this through the paces once I get to school. |

"Great, but inexpensive all-in-one printer" | 2008-07-01 |

| I have owned this printer for a bit over a year, and have been extremely pleased with it. I have used all four functions (printing, faxing, scanning, and copying) and have found it to be very reliable and easy to use. Misfeeds from the document reader and paper tray have been very rare. The machine does not have a duplexer, but the software makes it relatively easy to produce occasional two-sided output by printing odd pages first and then telling you how to reinsert the pages into the paper tray to print the even pages. I strongly recommend this printer for a moderate level of use in the home environment. |
