| Okay. I'm looking for a bread machine and I have never used one. As a matter of fact, I despise baking so you can see that I need something quite special. Something for a beginner. Something pretty much foolproof. But, most of all, something that will last and deliver it's promises. After reading what seemed to be thousands of reviews, I decided to go with the Cuisinart. Years ago, you were able to buy a product without the bells and whistles and still get an EXCELLENT product. Unfortunately, today that just doesn't happen. So, this machine does have bells and whistles. But, it's simple to work! I followed the instructions and much to my amazement am making the most incredible bread ever. Also, please note that the instruction booklet is amazing. One language - English. That's always a plus. There are tons of recipes and they're easy. I feel that I'm on my way to culinary school! So, if you're like me who insists on quality products, am anxious to make bread and have it work each time, this is the machine to get. It's quiet - it doesn't "walk" around during the kneading process like some reviewers claimed about different machines - easy to use and it feels "quality". I have a galley kitchen (tiny) with very little counter space and it doesn't take up much room at all. In fact, I plan on leaving it out on the counter. So, let me save you the time and research - this is the ONE. Worth every penny... |

"Cuisinart Convection Bread Machine" | 2008-09-13 |

| I am a long time bread maker and have owned almost every brand of bread machine, including the Zojirushi, which I also love. I just ordered the Cuisinart Convection Bread Machine this past week, and after receiving it, I have found it to be a wonderful bread machine. The french bread recipe as printed in the book was especially delicious, with a fabulous crust. Normally, I don't bake in my bread machines and only use them for the dough cycles. But, after having great success with the french bread recipe, I do plan to do more baking in the machine, as opposed to using the dough cycle, shaping it by hand, then baking it in my oven. One complaint I have read as I did on-line research before purchasing my Cuisinart, I have found not to be correct. After starting a cycle and then deciding to stop the machine to start another cycle, I have, indeed, been able to do this, without waiting 15 minutes, as I had read in some of the reviews. You only have to press the stop, pause button and hold it down for about three seconds. This will stop the machine and then you can proceed to reprogram the machine for a different cycle. This is explained on page 3 of the instruction booklet that came with it. The recipe book is one of the best I've seen to come with a breadmaker and I look forward to trying many of the recipes. |

| I don't know if there is something wrong with the breadmaker or I am doing something wrong, but I've made 6 loaves and burned them all. The top looks fine but the sides are burned. This is not my first breadmaker I've 4 other ones but none were convection. I am almost ready to return it. |

I bought this bread-maker after my 12 year old was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. It has worked perfectly every time. You do have to remember to follow all directions in the recipe as well as for the breadmaker. The biggest problem with the GF dough is that it is not very "cohesive" and you have to remember to stir dry ingredients into the center once or twice as the machine mixes the dough. I have found that the GLUTEN-FREE PANTRY FAVORITE SANDWICH BREAD mix is the best and I also add the new Orgran "gluten substitute". |

During the first baking session, the bread pan kept popping out of the seat while in kneeding cycle and I had to reseat the pan, repeatedly. After the session was over and I had a good loaf of bread, after all, I force stretched the pan lengthwise so that the tabs at the sides of the pan engaged the seat-tabs of the baking-well more positively and it is working OK, now. A little better quality control is suggested during the fabrication.
The crust tends to come out "harder" than each of the 3 settings. |

| I am using this bread machine to make gluten free bread and it makes excellent loafs of bread each time. It is very easy to use, just read the instruction manual first and follow the instructions carefully and it makes perfect bread. Based on reviews that I read before I bought this machine I have been setting the machine on light crust each time and it cooks just right. It is very easy to clean. The display is very easy to read. I recommend this bread machine to everyone, gluten free or not. |

| I bought this because I have other Cuisinart items that I like. I was a bit worried about the comments with the pan not staying in but figured it couldn't be too bad as my 16 year old Panasonic didn't even have anything to hold it down, it just dropped in and worked. Boy, was I wrong- after a month my wife could get it to hold in place after about 5 minutes of fiddling around. Now, neither of us can get it to stay, I force the end of the handle through one of the hold down holes and leave it at that. Not great but it kind of works. Otherwise, I am happy with everything else about it but I'm afraid I'm advising not to buy one, it's definitely not worth the hassle. |

I've had this machine for over a year now and I've made a lot of different types of bread in it; pre-made mixes and recipes from the instruction booklet and recipes from cookbooks. It has never failed me in any way.
I suppose the biggest difference between this unit and the previous bread machines that I've owned is that I treat the baking pan the same way I treat my knives. I don't put it in the dishwasher, ever.
The other thing I like about this machine is the audible alert to remove the paddle (if you're around to hear it). This makes for a much nicer loaf which is much easier to remove from the pan.
I suppose I'll be making bread with this thing for a lot of years because it's built like a tank. |

"Best Bread from Bread Machine" | 2008-06-30 |

I have owned two bread machines prior to buying this one--which is used. I have made bread four times (Simple French recipe) and I've not been disappointed. The only drawback is when I take it out of the pan it wants to stick (because it's crusty). I use a knife to loosen it up around the edges and sort of turn it upside down and pound it out. You MUST take out the paddle before the last rise or it ruins the bottom half of the bread. The convection oven makes it nice and crispy! The flavor and texture is the best I've had from a bread machine. I make homemade bread too and of course it's better, but when I need to save time this is second best. I only use bread machine yeast and bread flour (Gold Medal is best). I mix the salt and flour together before adding and I put a little dip or well in the center to add the yeast. I'm very happy with the machine. |

My new Cuisinart 2 pound Convection automatic bread maker does a fine job on bread. I enjoy it very much, and it has simple instructions, and the readout indicates what the unit is currently doing. I would recommend it. |
