Animal Crossing wild world, a.k.a. ACWW, is a game which operates in real time, real time being the time that you set your nintendo ds to when you first set it up. it's a good game that consists of doing simple tasks for your animal neighbors and by doing this, getting gifts or money that you can use to decorte your house or pay off your incredibly expensive mortgage to Tom Nook, but this isn't a problem because Nook will buy anything that you can give him, from a simple fruit to a seashell, you can sell anything to amount to your mortgage.
Your neighbors are an interesting bunch of animals, all with their own personalities and catch-phrases, and you'll enjoy hearing all the crazy stuff they have to say. Which I must say, is a lot, I've played this game for over a year now and I'm still surprised at some of the things they say, which means that these nintendo people are very creative and took a long, long time to write out their 'scripts'.
A very exciting and cool feature of ACWW is the Wi-Fi connection, which enables you to share your game with your friends and talk in real time. This adds a whole 'nother level of enjoyment of this game.
This is truly a game that you play when you are in a good mood and just want to relax, there are no 'levels' to beat, no real tasks to achieve, just good old-fashioned fun with real or animated friends. I promise you that if you are the type of person that enjoys a good sunny day, you will enjoy playing this game. But don't worry, it rains here too. |

This game is so much fun. i am obsessed with it! there are so many things to do in your town. i thought it was even better than the gamecube version!
You can fish in the river, ocean, and ponds, and catch bugs. You can donate fish and bugs to the Museum. You can also dig up fossils and buy paintings from Redd's store to donate to the museum, and once you have everything in the museum, there is a HUGE prize! The museum has a place where you can create constellations in the sky and it has a coffee shop where you can learn about the mysterious Brewster's life. A dog musician named K.K. Slider plays songs at the coffee shop every Saturday night. In your town, you can also plant trees and flowers, and shake the fruit off the trees and sell it or eat it.You can shop in the Nooks shop which upgrades once in a while, or buy clother at the Able's store. Best of all, you can talk to your animal friends. You can invite them to your house (which also upgrades as you pay off your mortgage). Your animal friends might want to move away, but you can stop them if u want them to stay.
There are some secrets in A.C...like if you give that hungry walrus a red turnip to eat, he'll give you something which you give to someone else, and it continues on. You can use your singshot, which u use to shoot presents in the sky, to shoot a flying spaceship, and an alien will drop into your town! If you hit Pate the pelican mailman, he'll tell you things and stay in your town for a while. theres also a mysterious red "thing" that jumps out of the ocean rarely. if you're lucky, you can talk to him. theres also fishing tourneys, bug catching contests, the flower fest, and many events. There are so many things to do in your town! |

"Animal Crossing: Wild World" is one of the funnest games for the DS we have played. The game is essentially a bunch of mini games with no real goal, other than to have fun. You can "earn" money ("bells") by selling things you find or fish you catch (very fun) to buy furniture and expand your house. The game is loaded with special features and characters that show up on preset days, adding some enjoyable variety to the game. The wireless multi-player and on-line play is a great fun for the whole family, we have 4 DS and 4 Animal Crossing games to play with each other (your characters go to one of the player's "towns"). We range in age from 11 to 45 years old and play this game several times a week, either alone or together!
Highly recommended for all ages! |

I confess, I'm 63, and I was totally bored by "Brain Age". I found out about "Animal Crossing" by accident, and since I had bought the Nintendo DS, I decided to try a used copy of the game! At first I didn't know what to think, because the previous owner's house was still there, full of cockroaches, and when I went outside there was this creature yelling at me for not saving the game. After I got past that (I started over) I was totally charmed by the game. Wow!
I've been playing the game, on and off, for about two weeks, and I'm still totally awed by it. I think the people who made the original game, and the people at Treehouse, deserve a standing ovation.
I think that this game would also be great for younger players. Embedded in the game is encouragement to work hard, to write legibly, to be polite, and to be patient. There is rudimentary information about the Stock Market and feng shui. There is a lot of information about fish, fossils, and insects.
I would recommend this game to anyone, and I might even buy a Wii so that I can buy "Animal Crossing - City Folks" when it comes out. |

Wow! Let me start of by saying this is a great game. It has lots of stuff to do and something new is always happening! There are a lot of myths and legends about this game such as the "dog under the bed" legend and the "Mr.Resetti's House" myth, but before you try these cheats and stuff you find online in your game, you would be much better off by purchasing the ACTUAL GUIDE! That's right, people, there is a licenced Nintendo ACWW Guide you can buy (right here on Amazon, in fact!). I spent a WHOLE HOUR trying to get codes from gaming websites when, in fact, only THREE of them worked properly. Anyway, like all games, there are ups and downs. A few are...
Cons:
-hard to pay off more expensive mortgages.
-you only get new bugs/fish every few months.
-most stuff you sell to Nook doesn't go for that much.
-if you get a mean neighbor, there's no getting rid of him/her until they leave on their own.
-because it is in real-time, it takes a LONG TIME to get anywhere finacially in the game.
-more strict on the "enviroment of your town".
Pros:
-better graphics (in my opinion) then the first game.
-more characters/puzzles to work with.
-lots of outfit and furnishing sets to choose from.
-the "flying presents" are easier to shoot down and do not appear at random times, they are on a schedule.
-instead of a wishing well, there are shooting stars.
-better store upgrades.
-more interaction with the characters who come and go from your town.
-you don't have to go back to your house to save, you can do it anywhere in your town.
-wi-fi conection.
-not as many bugs (problems) as the first.
As you can see, there are far more pros than cons in this game than in the first version. It is a great game for any age who like life-stimulations. It is better than MySims and the Harvest Moon series in the sense it is not so repetitive. It does not have mini-games in the way that you get points, but you can run errands for items, catch and sell bugs/fish, gather fruit and plant your own orchard to sell for Bells (the ACWW currency), and enter monthly, weekly, and seasonal contests for special prizes. The graphics in this game are really smooth and easy, and I only have a problem with them every 1/10 of the time I play the game. There is a breif toutorial, but it does not tell you how to live your character's life, as how well they do in the world is up to you. Your town itself is not very big, but the more improvments you make to it determine how much you will enjoy it's size. If you don't like the way your town is, you can start over. You only have one town at a time, but up to four players can udilize it. If you still want to expand your horizons, find a friends who has the game and who's town you can visit to look in other shops, gather fruit, and meet new characters. Overall, this is an awesome game that any true gamer will appriciate for it's creativness and cartoon-like elements that are real at the same time. |

Ive Owned this game for over a year! and im still finding new and intresting things to do in it. Its not a fast paced game, you have to take your time and work your way around the village/get to know people/write letters etc....
I will be honest though, i didnt really get to enjoy EVERY part of the game untill i bought the "offical player Guide" you can order it here, it cost me about 15 dollars and it was well worth the money!!!!! if your a fan of this game already buy the strategy guide! (book for tips etc) The game really is adorable but i will admit it got a little bit boring sometimes but there is plenty to make up for it.
Its tuned in with the clock settings on your DS system so during game play (depending on what time your are playing) you get to see the sunrise,hot miday sun and the sunset! The best part for me was the season change. You get to go through the seasons in real time! which i just adored. It celebrates the holidays with you too. I got this game for a early christmas present, I remember being snuggled up in the fleece blanket with my dogs on my lap sitting in the living room with my family around the christmas tree and playing Animal Crossing, it was below freezing outside and while i was playing it started snowing too. Right now its summer so i have fishing, catching butterflies, pulling weeds...... LOTS TO DO! that you can only do during certin seaons.
Its a game for all ages (im 23 yr old Female) i would recommend this game especially for children because this game will keep them intrested for more then just a couple days. Also lots of stuff to do and theres not even a hint of violence in this game. |
