"Great Game, but Slow Turn Around"

I'm addicted to this game, so it was worth the wait and was sealed and perfect. But the vendor didn't mail it right away, and it seemed to take forever for it to arrive. They must sell a lot of product and can't mail items daily. But it was a good buy and exactly what I wanted.
When I bought this game and started it I didn't really give it a chance. Now that I picked it back up I have found a new love (and hate...get to that in a moment) for the game. The only thing i would recommend would be to use the stylus to control it because if you use the d-pad then the game is much too hard. Now the thing i hate about it is that i can't sleep at night after playing it...i see the meteos in my head and still play it even if the game isn't in front of me. Excellent game and one I'm glad I gave a second chance.
I love this game. It has elements of other puzzle games but is different (see other reviews). I usually turn off or turn down the music in games as it gets repetitious and annoying, but I love the music in this game. Meteos is addictive and scalable in difficulty. It can be easy or very challenging and you get to decide.

I bought this game strictly because of the awesome reviews I have read about it. When I got it and popped it into my DS I was slightly disappointed. The story mode is absolutely useless. There are 3 modes where you travel to different planets, but it's generally all the same thing. There is nothing motivating you to keep going. I enjoyed playing against my friend who owns a DS, but other then that, this game doesn't really hold it's own. I tend to gravitate toward puzzle games that have story lines like 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. I am a huge puzzle fan and Meteos just doesn't hold it's own in my opinion. The graphics and sounds are cute though. Not horrible, just not the best.
Both me and my fiance had difficulty picking this up to play. I'm ashamed to admit it, but we actually had to look at the game manual. Once we got it down we've had a lot of fun playing this. We're still not sure exactly what we're doing, but we've been making new planets and going cross-eyed and having a blast doing it.
I'm an adult and bought this game for myself several months ago because I like puzzle games. I was disappointed with this one. I just found it too stressful because you have to think really fast in order to win. It also got difficult very quickly. I prefer games where I can observe the situation and ponder what the best move is. I wasn't having fun with this one and so it has been "shelved".
If you like puzzle games, my favorites DS ones are Clubhouse Games and Puzzle Quest - I could play them for hours at a time and not get bored!
