This is much improved mount and power connection over the manufacturers supplied mount that came with the Garmin. I highly recommend this and for the price it would be worth getting even if your existing mount still works.

I have had a Garmon GPS for a little over a year. It seemed that it would fall off of the windowshield from the suction cup mount at the most inopertune times. Also, the suction cup let a visible ring on the windshield which seemed like an invitation to potential thieves. The dashboard mount works wonderfully. I have tried it in my SUV and also our car and it sits securely on the dash. When I stop to shop, spend the night, or otherwise leave the vehicle, I can slip the GPS and mount under the seat or into the console. No windshield ring with this accessory.

Purchased this mount for my c340 model and it fits fine. I use it with my Murano, which has portion of the dashboard almost horizontal to the floor. I do not notice much movement even when I am on the highway, other then slight vibration. Overall its very good, I wish it had some height adjustment that would allow me to place it closer to the steering wheel without much obstruction.

Had one before that worked but the power chord connection at the mount frayed and we had to replace it. I was pleased they changed the connector to the mount with a breakaway connection rather than the hard wired one on the previous mount.br /br /We prefer this type mount because we can easily store the entire GPS in the center console to remove the theft temptation and it puts the unit in a better visible position to the driver. We had a window mount and I found it to be a big distraction and went to this one.

After being unable to get the suction cup on the GPS to ever stick, this dashboard stand is great. It sits firmly without sliding, and taking the GPS on and off it is very easy to do. Wished I bought it earlier, and bought one for my Dad's car too....great product and a must for the Garmin GPS....just buy one at the time you buy the GPS and save yourself wasted time.

I have used both the suction windshield mount which came with the GPS and the tri-pod dash mount. I very much prefer this tri-pod dash mount device. It doesn't slip and slide (unless there is an inch of dust on the dash)and it is so much easier to remove the device for storing out of site when I am not in the vehicle. I really do love it.

I purchased this mound with great trepidation as I am used to the suction cup windshield mounts and felt that this mount may not be secure enough. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. It stays put really well on the dash of my 2004 Blazer and looks like it would work well on just about any dash. I love the ease with which you can adjust its position. I saw a similar product at Wal-Mart but it was not the Garmin brand and the price was the same there as it was on Amazon for the real deal. So - I ordered it from Amazon and am not disappointed. As always, shopping at Amazon was a pleasure. Keep up the good work!

This dashboard mount is the only way to go for your Garmin. It's easy to transfer from car to car, and much better than the suction cup mount that comes with the GPS. In fact, the reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is that I think Garmin should ship this one with the unit since the suction cup just does not work in the hot sun (falls off).

Wasn't sure about this type of mount that I purchased for my wife. The first day she used it, she had to call me to tell me that she loved it. It is being used in a van and just does not move from where you set it.
