With the University expansion pack, our old friend, Sims 2, goes to an all new, strange place: college.
There's a lot of new stuff added to the game with this pack. Heck, it's practically a game all on its own! You get a new life-stage for your Sims (young-adult), new aspirations (including ones like "First Woo-Hoo!"), eleven majors your Sim can pick from, fraternities, dorms, campus hang-out spots, places where you can work part time, all new gizmos and doo-dads, etc, etc!
Best of all, when you graduate and your Sim enters the working world, they will almost certainly be hired at the fourth or fifth level of their career! Plus you'll already have a great many skills (especially if you raised your Sim from an infant), and friends, so once you get out into the "real" world, you should have no problem advancing.
There's no down side at all to this game (well, except for the fact that I've never managed to get my Sim into a frat or sorority. Probably because, like me, they're pretty anti-social. I am a gamer, after all). There's all the usual Sims elements we know and love plus all the extras! A total win for "Sims 2" players everywhere! |

| I love the sims 2 even though I only have one expansion pack which is PETS. I want to get university horribly bad but on he cover it doesent have the little universal ensignia on it, unlike some of the other expnsions such as PETS, OPEN FOR BUSINESS, and SEASONS. that ensignia means that the game works on intel chip based macs. So yet this problem leaves me sitting like a hopeless computer idot. please comment back!! |

This game is amazing, and it works perfectly on my MacBook. Not only are the graphics up to par, but the loading time... wait, what am I talking about? There is barely any loading time! I went to go get some cereal, and when I got back, it was already sitting there, just waiting to be played!
Also, I'm one of those players who go and download re-colors and other objects that fans make for the game, and I've added a lot so far, but the game still works perfecty.
Basically, this is what consumes most of my 24 hours! :D |

This is an excellent game, and each expansion pack offers more and more possibility. In all honesty, after getting The Sims 2 Open For Business, I don't spend a lot of time in the University town, but it's well worth the additional options opened up.
I particularly enjoy the added want and want lock options that open up as your sim progresses through the semesters. This, just like real college, is why I suggest having getting/having this expansion pack, even if you don't spend a lot of time playing the university itself. The benefits will last a lifetime!
Enjoy! |

| this game really just serves as a gateway to having more available aspirations (6 instead of the usual 3) and a better paying job from a younger age. the actual "college" experience is a drag that just takes away from game play in the usual sims households. i tried experimenting with the new social interactions, but found that it wasn't worth the time spent and have since learned to just fast-track the students through school and get it over with. could've shortened the length of each semester (have to complete EIGHT semesters to graduate, 2 for each grade level). more boring than real college. |

| I was skeptical about buying Sims 2-University at first, because of its price. I read a couple of reviews about the game, and they all liked it. I thought, "Hey, why not?" So I started playing it at my friends house, and I got hooked! I just couldn't stop playing! College life is so fun on the Sims 2- University. It adds an extra 24 days to your sim's life span (Young Adult), giving you a chance to build up skill points and relationships with other sims. Also, if your sim graduates, you unlock 2 more wants, and 4 new diploma-only jobs! They pay MUCH better at first than regular jobs. All in all, it was great! I'm saving up to buy it, and can't wait until I have enough to buy it! |
