This is the complete collection of games for the original Zoo Tycoon game, including the Marine Mania and Dinosaur Digs expansions. Basically, the game is exactly what you'd expect... it's a sim/strategy type game where you take the role of a zoo keeper, and build your ideal zoo. With dozens of animals, from African hunting dogs to saltwater crocodiles to Asian black bears, this game should appeal to any wildlife enthusiast. The whole goal of the game is to make sure your animals, and guests, are happy. The former is achieved by placing them in a suitable environment, the later by building animal house (like 'reptile houses,' 'primate houses,' etc), resturants, gift stores and other attractions. You can choose several scenarios, from free form games to pre-made games that require you to achieve certain, increasingly challenging, goals.
The two expansion packs add on animals, attractions and new features appropriate to them. The Marine Mania pack includes all manner of sea creatures - sharks, whales, dolphins, octopi, seals, and so forth, while Dino Digs includes dinosaurs and prehistoric beasts like Allosaurus, Megatherium, Smilodon and Ankylosaurus, amongst others. They also include new attractions, like the pterodactyl house and crustacean house, marina themed buildings, and the like, to get your guests attention. New features include animal shows where dolphins, orcas and sea lions can perform tricks, mixed exhibits that include land and water (for animals like hippos, walruses and sea otters), and electric fences to keep dinosaurs contained. Over all, with all these features and new scenarios any would-be Zoo Keeper will have literally hours, if not days, weeks and months, of game play. Definitely worth it for the money you'd spend on these great games. Love 'em all! |

| You had to pay keepers to take care of the animals, because it wouldn't let you do it yourself!!!! Plus, the most money you were aloud to start off with was only $500,00.00!! And you couldn't release any animals to the wild!!!Next, if 1 or more of the animals was a little unhappy or worse you weren't aloud to buy any more animals until it was completely happy again!!!!! Zoo Tycoon 2 is much, MUCH better than this! |

| Both of my boys, ages 9 & 11 love this game and are able to use it well even if they miss many of the main points about making money by keeping the guests and animals happy. I have been amazed at how well they can manipulate the many aspects of the game and create different exhibits with the given tools. As an adult it can also be fun to challenge yourself to make a profitable zoo and keep it up and running without the guests getting bored and the animals overpopulating their exibits. A definite keeper. |

I previously played this game on a PC and was glad to find the Mac version. The game is just as wonderful as before and there are more scenarios than the PC version.
Graphics seem to be crisper and more vibrant. Also, there are sounds that are not on the PC version. Much better version of an already wonderful game for adults and children alike. |

| My daughter loves this game. We also got the Marine Mania and a Dinosaur addition to this and they are as fun. I had to call tech support about the installation. It's an unusual method for the Mac. First you install Marina Mania (even though that's the add-on) and then Zoo Tycoon. It all works then. |

| I love to build things and this is what you will do if you buy Zoo Tycoon. It is very fun, even my little four-year-old son loves watching me make things with it. He loves to have me construct the water aquariums. It is fun, but sometimes gets a little old due to having to find out what each animal needs and then making sure that it has it. It's a fun game and you will like it. |

| This is a totally awesome game! Our whole family enjoys it. Be sure you get two disks for the complete version with the Marine Mania Expansion, if not call the Aspyr Technical Support, number in the back of the pamphlet, to have them send it to you -- ask for Andrew - excellent customer service. |

| The whole family has enjoyed playing Zoo tycoon. I purchased it as a Christmas present for my 11 year old daughter and she immediately began playing and kept going until we kicked her off the computer. Her 7 year old brother also loves playing, although it is a little over his ability level. He can have fun playing but his zoo's are sort of crazy. This game also works very well for adults. I strongly recommend this for all ages. |

| Some of the game files didn't want to install automatically. So, I had to determine which needed to be "hand"copied. Also, I haven't gotten the game to operate in my "User" enabled Macs. It tells me the Volume is "Locked", which it is not. Stay tuned |

"A terrific game for kids and adults" | 2007-01-10 |

The game is great with the ability to create zoos with Traditional zoo inhabitants along with Marine life and Dinosaurs. My kids 6 and 8 love it. Although the game is designed to be complete and complex to satisfy adults and older children the younger kids love creating the zoos and taking care of the animals.
I give this a two thumbs up and would recommend it to all |
