| I got puncture on the road yesterday and have this slime lite tube with me to replace the punctured one. However I forgot to clear the thorn before I put the tube in and inflated it. After I got home I found there is one thorn on the tire and I pull it out. At the same time the green goo stuff flew out and filled the puncture. The tire is still full inflated after 24 hours. |

There is nothing worse than getting delayed on my trip to the local coffee shop - especially when it is two flat tires in the space of 5 miles. Grrr... Between glass and those star shaped denizens of evil that drop from the trees around here, flats were getting to be a way of life, and I was seriously considering lining armadillo tires with sheet metal. No need to get hysterical. I have not had a single flat since swapping my tubes for these babies.
A couple of times I have noticed low pressure - pulled out one of those little barbs. Spun the wheel up so that the valve is at the 2 o'clock position and have been able to refill no problems - with no slow leaks noticed in the following few days. |

"The only tube to buy!" | 2009-01-11 |

| After several annoying flats with my Trek 7.5FX and 1.5 Road Bike I decided to find a tube that could handle the occasional puncture. The Slime Tubes work perfectly. Since I have installed these tubes in both tires on both bikes I have not had a ride stopping flat since. I have had two punctured which were rapidly sealed by the green slime. I was able to add back the pressure with my portable pump and continue my rides. I have still not changed the tubes. The slime made a perfectly acceptable seal and has not leaked since. Even when I did get a puncture, if I didn't have a pump I could have still rode home, it just would have been a careful ride to make sure I didn't damage the rim as a result of low tire pressure (60-70 psi). These are the only tubes I will buy from now on. |

Before, you either bought a light tube in case you got a flat, and you had to take off the rim and replace the tube or patch it. Or, you went with a Slime-filled tube and carried some extra weight, but you might avoid a flat.
The Slime Lite tube offers a light tube with magical healing powers. Sure, it costs $2 more than the heavier tube with Slime. When you are 25 miles into a ride with lots to go, will you really care that it cost a bit more. Over a season of riding, the difference is nothing. |

"A puncture at mile 9 of a Century ride" | 2006-11-10 |

At mile 9 of the North Fork Century in Long Island New York I got a blow out on my front wheel. I didn't know that this had happened except that I saw all of the green goo shooting out of the hole. I stopped a couple of seconds later and within about a minute the hole had sealed. There was minimal loss of tire pressure. I was able to get to complete the ride that day and I was able to use the tire the following weekend. All without having to refill my tube. Amazing.
All the tubes I buy now are Slime Lites. |
