I purchased the Croscill Townhouse bathroom accessories. First, the pattern "townhouse" is absolutely gorgeous. The colors are rich and the pattern is very elegant/regal & classy.
All pieces are made of ceramic, not cheap plastic and the "squirter" on the lotion dispenser (which I use for liquid soap and not lotion) is not cheap plastic, it is stainless steel. They are all very well made and sturdy, with some weight to them. The pieces are thick ceramic.
You have to be careful because some websites/stores call the small dish shown in this grouping a soap dish, others call it a tray. It is not the tray. The tray is much larger, so be careful and check sizing so you are sure you get what you expect. Most people think they have no use for the tray or soapdish but I STRONGLY suggest getting it if you have granite countertops in your bathroom or wherever if you plan on using the lotion dispenser as a liquid soap dispenser as I have. I placed the lotion/liquid soap dispenser on the soap dish because when you pump the jar, some soap can drip down onto the countertop. If you have granite countertops and the soap drips on it and it just sits there, it can stain your granite countertop. So that is why I'm using the soap dish as a tray under the dispenser.
The toothbrush holder has a removable rubber plug on the bottom to drain any water that settles in the bottom of it after brushing teeth.
There is also a "jar" with a lid that matches this set. It's nice sized, all ceramic and is perfect for Q tips or cotton balls, etc. There is also the "tray" which looks exactly like the "soap dish" shown in this grouping but it is longer...like a tray. ha ha. The wastebasket is perfect size for a bathroom and looks identical to the tumbler except much larger. It does have a bit of weight to it but nothing that will give you a problem lifting or anything like that. I actually like the wastebasket having a bit of weight to it, I am famous for tipping the cheap plastic garbage cans over and well, you know what a mess that can be in a bathroom! The shower curtain that matches this set is just beautiful. Nice, thick material - definitely worth the money, especially since all of Croscill "Townhouse" is on sale due to the pattern being discontinued. If you are interested in this pattern, BUY IT ALL NOW! Before it's all gone.
One last thing...the comforter set is shown all over the interent and everyone uses the same photo which is a horrible one. The photo makes the comforter look dull and drab but in reality the colors are rich and vibrant...very elegant and classy looking. It's nice and thick. You won't be disappointed in any of the Croscill "Townhouse" items. But these bath accessories are the best made bath accessories I've ever bought. Well worth every penny. Due to this pattern being discontinued, everything is more than 50% off of the original retail price. |

| I love Croscill Townhouse! This pattern is similar to Dover Manor (deleted line). No complaints. There is a double-long dish (tray) available at LNT.com or BedBathBeyond.com. |

| I purchased the bath set, tissue holder and wastebasket. The pattern is as lovely as it appears in the picture. The quality is excellent. I do however have a couple of problems with them. The tissue holder is oversized for boutique tissues, thereby wasting space on the vanity. The biggest problem is with the wastebasket. The items are ceramic and it is quite thick on the wastebasket making it very heavy. |
