"The softest, most absorbent towel I've ever used." | 2008-07-14 |

| I always buy expensive and high quality towels and sheets. I just found the Christy Embrace brand of towels, and I couldn't be happier. I read the Amazon reviews of the towels and made note of the occasional complaint about them shedding lint. So, as soon as I got them I stuck them in the dryer, set on air fluff. Yes, there was a lot of "lint" in the filter, so I just kept running the dryer on air fluff until there was little "lint." I think I ran it through 6 70-minute cycles. To me, it was worth it to have these absorbent, ultra-soft wonderful towels. I have to get rid of some of my old towels so I can order more of these wonderful towels! | |

| These are by far the best towels I've ever used. They are huge in size, thick, and extremely soft. They have held up quite well over the past two years, with no decrease in thickness or softness.
I will say that when I first got them, they threw off a lot of lint, as I expected with any new towel -- and so I washed them frequently, and didn't use any fabric softeners. They didn't seem to absorb very well in the early going while this was going on. I finally decided to dry them with fabric softener sheets, and they instantly started soaking up water easily and stopped throwing off lint. I know others have said this is the opposite, and most instructions will parrot this, but I've found the sheets to actually work very well (never been a liquid softener person). Either way, these are the best I've ever found, and I hope they continue to be produced, as I'll be buying more throughout the years. | |

| These towels are beautiful and soft -- no fading even after several washings. Unfortunately, my husband is tired of picking fibers out of his beard. A guest bath is probably a good place for them. I am back to shopping for a set of towels for the master bath...and the redwood color just wasn't that easy to find! Christy Embrace With Silk Bath Towel- Set of 3- Redwood | |

| I have had these towels for a month and am still undecided if I would purchase them again. As stated by previous purchasers, they do pill quite a bit for the first 2-3 washes. They are soft, but I am not convinced that they are the softest I can buy and their longevity. | |

| I have purchased mid-range priced towels for over 20 years and I decided to splurge on 4 of these washcloths! (Buy 3 get 1 free) They were advertised for $9.99 each (4 for $30) and I thought, "What washcloth is worth ten bucks?" BUT NOW I'M addicted to Christy towels - the Embrace with silk is sooo soft and absorbant! And I have only tried the washcloths! I am saving to buy the hand towels - very pricey but definitely the quality warrants the cost! I've washed them several times and have had no problems with pulls or loose threads! If you want to pamper yourself, buy these! | |

| Maybe I'm old, (Maybe?) but I have enjoyed using these. I feel like I am rewarding myself. They hold plenty of soap for the whole length of a normal shower. Plus, when loaded with water, they make a great weapon against anyone who surprises you in the shower. :-) | |
"Excellent - very absorbent; soft; no loose fibers." | 2006-11-02 |

| Despite the occasional negative review sprinkled in among the positive ones, I decided to order one of these towels to see whether or not it resolved my search for an ultra absorbent towel, to speed up drying when getting out of the shower. Based on other suggestions in reviews found under this and other colors (I don't know why Amazon does not group all reviews together since color rarely if ever affects quality and construction), I ordered one knowing that Amazon stands behind everything with no argument on returns. I am not in the least bit disappointed, and will pass on my personal experience with this towel compared with what was said in the negative reviews: 1) The first thing I did after unpacking the towel was to machine-wash it in COLD water, my "bargain" Purex detergent and NO fabric softener. I don't know what if anything may have gone down the drain, but I can tell you that there was no even a single strand of fiber in my washer after I removed it. 2) Then I dried the towel in my dryer, but I did NOT put in my usual sheet of Bounce, based on the advice from other satisfied purchasers. When I took it out of the dryer, there was no more lint in the lint filter than I usually get washing old towels - minimal, and no loose fiber. 3) Then I took my shower and used the towel to dry off. Again, my experience was nothing like the complaint elsewhere of fiber sticking to my body. I know what it is like to have fiber cling to me, especially my hairy arms and chest, when using a new towel the first few times, but I could not find a single fiber clinging to my body after drying off with this towel - nada. And since I purchased one of the darkest colors - Panda Grey - which is almost black, I'm sure I would have seen such fibers on my person if there were any. Was the towel thicker or thinner than my other towels? Frankly, I didn't think about that or pay any attention to it - all I know is that this towel is extremely soft, and extremely absorbent. I was able to dry off every part of my body with a single pass of the towel, unlike my other towels. Maybe it's not as thick? - all I know is that it is more absorbent. Therefore, I highly recommend this towel, and just to play it safe, I will continue to use cold water and NO fabric softener to wash and dry it, as others have recommended. Maybe that's the secret. | |

| I do NOT recommend. The towel is big in area, but very thin. Good towels are THICK, that's the main thing. These aren't! I was DISAPPOINTED. | |

| I couldn't disagree more with the previous negative review. I have the Christy bath sheets, towels and wash cloths, in the "natural stone" color and I LOVE them. I feel like I could never use "regular" towels again, they've spoiled me for luxury. They haven't faded, at all, the lint was minimal after the first washing, and they look perfect wash after wash, without the threads becoming uneven or pricking, like so many towels tend to do. I couldn't love these more, and I give them as gifts. | |
