The set is light weight, packs easily and a breeze to put up. Great for recreational play, kind of unsteady for serious gamers, it will collapsed if hard contact is made at the net. Recommended for family and friends get togethers, as long as competition is not too serious.
"Worth the price"

I have been looking for a sturdy, back yard play volleyball set for some time. Most models in the $50 - $100 range seemed flimsy and not worth the cost. This set is easy to assemble and break down and stores nicely in the included carrying case. It would be easy to transport although I will primarily be using it in my own back yard. We used it for a 4th of July barbeque and it stood up very nicely to teenagers and amateur players coming down on the net during spike attempts. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

We purchased this for playing volleyball in our backyard. It is very easy to set up. The poles are strong and the net a good weight for the poles. I would highly recommend it.

This is a great volleyball net! It is very durable and set up is easy. Its worth the extra money. I originaly bought a cheaper one and it fell apart while I was putting it up then had to take it back to the store and wait for a refund. This is still going good and I left it up thru the summer last year and it is still going strong this year.

After reading several reviews I decided to purchase the Park & Sun TS - 179 Spectrum. I was looking for a decent volleyball set for my kids to play with and the ones I saw in the store for about $50 - $80 just seemed so cheap and fragile. I was very please after setting up the Spectrum 179...It was sturdy enough that I knew the kids wouldn't pull it down the first time they played. Now all the kids in the neighborhood come over and play on it and the adults as well.

I'm an engineer, so I like to work with exactness, over engineered, and high standards. I think you will find this with this product. The one thing that impressed me the most was the poles. They where the exact height, easy to change the height, and sturdy. The net was acceptable, and the guying system could do with a way to shorten or lengthen them. In my system you have a length of nylon with two rings on each end of the nylon rope that attach to the spikes in the ground, and a hook halfway along the nylon rope which attaches to the pole.
The system went together in less than five minutes, and once up had a good tension on the net. I'm not sure how well this will work for sand, but turf it seemed to work well.
I'm very happy with the product, especially at the price. It does come in a white box that looks too small for it to fit in, but when I opened it I was happy with the construction. I would not be surprised if this lasts two or more seasons. I expect the upgrade version would be even sturdier, but for back yard "semi serious " play I think you will be happy, or for that practice next during the summer.
