| I cannot say enough good things about this television. Only wish it had a computer input, but my new comp has component video out, so that is no longer a problem either. Stunning screen, made the super bowl that much better. Highly, highly recommended. |

"Simply magnificent!!!" | 2008-01-30 |

I have owned this set for one year now and it perfroms perfectly still to this day. I did much research prior to making this purchase and am so glad I did. I made many comparisons before the purchase and am still making comparisons to this day every time I view another plasma/lcd set. I can honestly say that this set blows anyhting away that I have seen in a store or in another home.
Panasonic hit a grand slam with this set. It is not 1080p but with thie 720p/1080i it is still magnificent and out perfroms any 1080p set I have seen. (except for maybe the Panasonic 1080p set) This is my opinion and it may appear biased but I feel strongly about this. I use it with a Toshiba A-3 HD-DVD player and get perfect picures there and with the HD television I receive. If you are in the market for this, get this while they are still available.

"Great for video games" | 2008-01-30 |
| - Reviewed By User: A9ODFEQLKY77V |
I bought this unit over a year ago, and use it almost 100% for video games. There is negligible lag, if any, on any input, regardless of any image enhancement settings. One expert fighting game player friend of mine thinks the lag is either 1/60 or 1/30 of a second (1 or 2 video frames). I play timing-sensitive music games, and this set felt no different than a CRT.
I have also been able to safely use this set in portrait orientation (using a wall mount), for multiple hours at a time. This is probably not officially supported by the set; your mileage may vary. Try it for short periods of time at first.
As for burn-in, it seems to be a non-issue. Strangely, images seem to persist very quickly (mild persistence within 5 minutes), but whether it's there for 5 minutes or 5 hours (about the longest I've left anything static on the screen), it washes out when you change what's being displayed in that spot. Wash-out takes seconds for short persistence, and maybe a couple minutes for something that's been there 5 hours. For all practical purposes, I just change what game I'm playing from time to time, and I've gotten no screen burn.
Also, I've noticed no apparent loss in brightness or color shifting in the last year; the set sees an average of about three 4-hour sessions a week.
This set does a great job of deinterlacing images. It tends to create a slight "soupy" effect, which is only noticeable if you're less than 3 feet from the set.
This set will display everything, all the way up to 1080p, including the 1080p output from a PS3. However, the panel is only 1280x768, so 1080 looks no better than 720. Computer input using a DVI-HDMI adapter works, though there is a little bit of cutoff on all 4 edges for some unknown reason.
When you get this set brand new, make sure to put a DVD on loop that will fill the screen, and run it continuously for about 100 hours. This helps even out the phosphor wear in the first 100 hours, where they lose about 5% of their brightness. This is true of all plasma TVs.
In conclusion, I could not be happier with this set. |

"Great tv even 1 year later" | 2008-01-23 |

| I bought this tv Dec 2006 for $1200. The tv is still the same price and still one of the best tvs on the market. The only one better is the 1080p from Panasonic according to Consumer Reports. Infact this beats most of the 1080p tvs on the market currently. For plasmas Panasonic is a clear leader. |

"Great Plasma for the price!" | 2007-12-21 |

This a great HDTV for movies and normal TV viewing.
The SD card reader is a nice feature but it is painfully slow. The Silver bezel is tacky and upon closer inspection looks like it is made of cheap plastic.
My only real gripe was the lack of VGA input, but since the newer Xbox 360's have HDMI outputs its not a big deal. While playing occasional video game is ok for 1-2 hour, never ever play Lost Planet or any game where the background is mostly high contrast.(i.e. snow)
The remote is big with easy to read buttons.
The on screen menu is easy to navigate and the various sub menus are neatly organized. However setting up your favorite channels is painful and you will be glad when its over.
The QAM tuner is useless with Comcast/Time Warner cable; Some of the digital station will continuously display "No Signal" even if there is a signal. Do yourself a favor and order a HD cable box or go with Direct TV.
Still I Love this set and would only trade it for a Pioneer Kuro, the true king of Plasma.
My next HDTV will be a LED or Laser DLP. =) |

Own it, Love it!
Great value for price.
If you are not an electronics buff, get it, my only concern is that it does not take certain AV inputs that makes porting a laptop signal to it easy.

"Great Product, Failed Delivery" | 2007-11-21 |

| I have no qualms with the device, I now own one and am happy with my purchase, hence the 5 stars. My issue however was with the delivery of this product, I had ordered this along with the Sony DAV-FX900W 5-Disc DVD Dream System (5.1 Channel), and a Logitech X-530 5.1 5-PieceSystem with Subwoofer Speaker setup. Every single thing that I had ordered arrived to me with physical damage (complete with dents, scratches, and broken speaker stands), the TV itself actually had about a 2 inch dent on the right side that produced a black line of 'dead pixels' across the whole thing that pretty much rendered the whole TV useless. After a rather long return process (about two months) I finally received my money back and was able to go my local electronics store and pick one up, again good TV...but I will never order a piece of electronics from Amazon again. |
