I understood the downfall of not being able to charge the ipod while using the airclick. I previously had one on an ipod mini that attached on the top, but really, once I adjusted to it being on the bottom, it was fine.
I don't know what I'd do without the airclick! I've been using it steadily for at least 3 or 4 years, and it still works perfectly. It's on the bottom of my ipod 95% of the time, as I use it most in the car. It's durable, and a great addition to anyone's ipod. I attached the remote control to my steering wheel, its a great spot to just change songs with my thumb. You can press play, fastforward/backward(or change to the previous/next song), control the volume. The basic controls. So it works best if you're a frequent user of "shuffle".
Wouldn't be without it, it'd make a great gift for almost anyone.

I received this item very quickly. It broke just as quickly. The remote has a tab like a belt clip on the back. When I pressed to open, the hinge on the remote broke and the metal spring fell off. The plastic is too small to glue/repair. Unfortunately, this clip is needed to hold the remote in the cradle. I would be concerned the hinges would break while in the cradle. If not in a car (bicycle, motorcycle, etc), the remote would be lost. The receiver does not work if the iPod is in the hard plastic case. I do not own any other cases. As a remote, it works great.

This remote is the best. It works well in the car with the remote attached to the steering wheel. It is ideal for doing work around the house because it has a very long range. I have used it from different rooms and it is great. A great deal!!
I am quite pleased with my purchase of Airclick. I primarily use it in my car with the iPod connected to the car stereo through aux cable. The remote is very responsive. It even has a nice strap which I use to attach it to the steering. Now I don't have to take my eyes off the road anymore to change the song.
One gripe, this should have a bypass for charging the iPod
I bought this item since I use my ipod in my car a lot. It seems it is not compatible with the ipod Classic. Will have to return it, and get something else.

The remote functions well but the plastic is pretty flimsy. The clip on the remote broke off after only a few weeks of use. The receiver is too big to use on a Nano.
