Completely happy am I! You'll have to get vonage to help set it up (maybe-my connection took a while to go through). But after that headache, it is a fantastic purchase. This is definately not a plug-and- play item.
I'm glad to clean up the old telephone wires, too. Vonage help was fantastic. It just took about an hour.
DOWNSIDE: Only one port so you CANNOT hook up multiple computers to the router.
"Great System"

I've had Vonage for over 4 years now and after the initial setup I've been very happy. And you can not beat the price, except for the MagicJack, which I have no experience with and you loose your existing # with that system, but so far everything I've read has been bad. Hence my reasoning behind staying with Vonage and just updating my old router and really old house phone. I bought this system (2 phones) for $30 on eBay with shipping, so shop around! Not sure if I'd spend $140 on too much now a days, unless I really had to. There were also the one phone systems for $20. And this does include the router. So just saying, shop around. Watch for bad feedback, but if you take the time you can find a good seller and a better price then this.
The system itself? Clearer than my old Radio Shack cordless (which served it's time very well). And the router is much faster than the Linksys RT31P2 that I got when I signed up for Vonage in 2005. It's not cutting up my internet speed the way the old one did either. I had recently purchased a new wireless router as well, thinking that was my problem because it was also ancient! I guess it was just time to replace.
Vonage would not give me the "new customer" deals advertised. Not sure about that. I wish companies would do something to reward customer loyalty. None of them do though, and with the price of this service I guess they don't have to either. But again $30 on eBay, so whatever. Just search Vonage on eBay.
I have never been so pleased with a phone as I am with this set. We purchased these phones to replace a piece-of-junk Uniden set that didn't work more than 4 feet from the base and had so much static you couldn't have a conversation on them. I am so glad I did. The sound is clear, the phones hold a charge for an excellent amount of time, and they have some really great features. I love that they share memory, so you only have to program the phonebook once and it is automatically available in the other handset. I love the voicemail waiting display that tells me not only if I have messages waiting, but how many. The speaker phone works well, giving a good sound quality with less of the ambient amplification you often find in speaker phones. Overall, I highly recommend these phones to anyone with Vonage for their phone service.
"Great phone durability, great call quality, easy setup"
I've had these sets for more than two years with Vonage. Battery life is adequate, call quality (vonage side) is great, and distance that I can take the phone from the base station is great. I have zero static as far as problems between the base station and the handset. Rarely do I ever have a call with any issue and typically the quality is very very good on calls.
Multiple ringer options and other various features make you not even realize this is a special phone at all. It looks and feels just like a normal cordless phone, except you only have to provide it power. The rest is wireless to the base station.
There are only two drawbacks I've found on the phones: Clearing the call log is/was a bit convaluted, and the batteries didn't give me much more than a year. Other than that, this is one of few products that worked correctly from day one and hasn't needed returned or repaired since.
Well I do know that at various times, the service just drops calls...some times worse than others. The phones, however, seem to pick up and amplify sound to the person on the other end...people are always asking what's that noise...and seem annoyed at even the slightest sound. So I think the main problem is the phone. We've had ours just about 2 years and now we are replacing the batteries because they've lost their ability to stay charged...we'll see if that helps any other problems???? Sometimes I feel like the cell phone commericals "...can you hear me now?"
"Thumbs Up!"

I use these for my businees phones and at $29.99 you can't really go wrong. Lots of features and unlimited use.... what's not to like? The phones work great and installed with no problems. Simply made a call to Vonage to add the Mac Address and that was it..... my service is up and running!
