It would be a great coffeemaker IF the coffee would go into the thermos where it is supposed to go. My husband and I purchased a Cuisinart DTC-975BKN coffee maker a year ago. During the past year, on occasion, it has sent coffee all over the counter, into the cabinet drawers and onto the floor. But, we moaned and mopped up and took responsibility for not settng it up properly. However, in the past 4 days this has happen twice. Coffee, coffee everywhere. It is not an alinement problem like in the past; it appears to be some problem with the cap to the thermos. I no longer trust this over-priced, made-in-China coffee pot, which is why I'm on Amazon looking for something to replace it. Sharon Fletcher-Iltis

I have had probably six different "carafe" type coffee pots in the past few years and this is now my second Cuisinart DTC 12 cup maker. It makes the hottest coffee in the first place and keeps the coffee hotter for longer that any of the others I have tried. I will buy a third for my cabin this spring.

This is our second Cuisinart coffee maker with a stainless carafe and we love it. The first one lasted for 4 years of every day use so hopefully this one will last a little longer.

We have only had this a month but to date it is working very well. It is easy to clean and fits nicely under the counter. The top on the carafe seems to work smoothly.

Makes delicious coffee and keeps it piping hot for hours. And I love that it uses a fraction of the electricity of normal coffee makers since it brews into the insulated carafe and doesn't need an electric hotpad underneath. The only downside is that the carafe and lid are difficult to clean. But it's worth that extra effort.
When my first one died after many years of reliable service, there was no doubt as to what coffeemaker I wanted to replace it. THE SAME THING!!!! I was sooo relieved to see that the item was still available. I've never had the pot overflow/malfunction etc. It's worked great every time - with the programmable feature I might add. Love this coffeemaker - highly recommend.
