| I wanted crushed ice with decent-size pieces that would not melt fast. I use the ice for mixed drinks and water drinks after sports activity. The Waring gives me that. Surprisingly, the machine is not loud -- though it's not whisper-quiet either -- and it works fast. Sometimes the ice cube holder has to be shaken to dislodge a logjam, but it's a negligible problem. I think it depends on the shape of your ice cubes. half circles from an automated Kitchenaid fridge pose no problem. All in all, I am very satisfied after owning the machine for one month. I would give the Waring a 5 if the ice cubes never got stuck, but I doubt it's possible in a relatively inexpensive machine. | |

| My dad loves crushed ice. He likes it crushed into bigger chunks than most crushers produce. He's tried a lot of different crushers in the past, and most would fall apart quickly. I got this for a birthday gift for him, and he loves it! It is not very loud for being an ice crusher, is very easy to clean up after use, and seems to be very solid. We are expecting it to last quite a while, even with his daily use. It does produce bigger chunks than the other crushers, which is exactly what he was looking for. Some people may not like this. We haven't tried running the crushed ice through the crusher again, but that might work. One problem he had is that the ice cubes get stuck in the feeder chute if he puts in too many at once. He just puts them in a handful at a time to get around that. The crusher is fairly fast, so he really doesn't have to stand around very long feeding the thing. | |

| I purchased the IC70 Ice Crusher for my father for Christmas who eats ice all day long. He loves it and pleased with its performance. I used it myself a couple of times and like it as well. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants crushed ice. | |

| This ice crusher is just EXACTLY what I wanted for my home bar. I positively did NOT want an ice shaver, which seems to be all the rage today. The size of the crushed ice pieces are much larger than shaved ice and perfect for drinks. The only limitation I have found is that you must not feed the cubes in too rapidly, which is not a problem. I am EXTREMELY pleased with this crusher and recommend it highly for drinks, shrimp cocktails, etc. | |

| This product has lived up to my expectations for a Waring appliance. Keep in mind it is a "crusher" and not a "shaver". It will not produce finely shaved ice, but will produce very good quality crushed ice. My only small gripe is, it would have been nice to have a cover for the chute. | |
