| I like this food processor but was unaware when I purchased it that it cannot hold more than 1/2 inch to 1 inch of liquid or it leaks out. Now that I have learned that I am fine with what it does. We make salsa, pie dough and process home grown dried herbs in it. It is very quiet. It stays in place when operating...doesn't vibrate around the counter. And it cleans up easy. Very good quality. |

| Processor is fantastic. I own more than one at different locations. It is efficient, easy to clean and a work horse in the kitchen. The mini bowl is a major plus. Time saving. |

"Not for anything liquid" | 2009-10-10 |

| I bought this unit because of all of the positive reviews, however I find myself returning it. When making something like salsa, cole slaw or other dishes that contain even the smallest amount liquid, the liquid will come through the middle of the device under the blade and out the bottom of the bowl. Unfortunately it is a pain to clean up! Additionally the unit is very bulky and doesn't fit into my cupboard or on my counter. I love KitchenAid (I've had a mixer for years and wouldn't give it up), but this downside of not being able to handle any liquid makes the device completely irrelevant for me. |

| Highly recommended in all ways, quiet, tough, durable, pretty....just one minor complaint: The lip surrounding the hole in the center of the large bowl COULD and SHOULD be higher to prevent liquids from running all over the base. I've had other food processors where the center lip is as tall as the bowl itself...not sure why they designed it this way???? Otherwise it's top nocth! |

"Well-built" | 2009-09-25 |

| Construction seems sturdy, more than enough for casual users like us. With the grating and slicing wheels, there is a tendency to make mush if one doesn't push food through fast enough, and the chopping sometimes leaves a wider distribution of particle sizes than ideal (as well as mush, if you try to get the last of the big chunks down to size), but I think these observations are true of all food processors. A great deal, especially for the price. |

"Serious usability flaws" | 2009-09-21 |

I got a similar design KFP750 food processor and now regret that.
When the chopping disk was used for the first time, it has play enough to touch the protrusion under the feed tube. So it shaved quite a few plastic shavings off it. My son was unpleasantly surprised when he found what resembled fingernails in his soup!
But the bigger flaw is the disk design and the feed tube position. The disk has the raised edges. They rise up and hold any stock that is on them. My previous Cuisinart processor had disks with the edge down. Now, the feed tube is positioned 1/4" from the disk edge. When the food is chopped (for exampe, cabbage), some shreds get stuck on the top of the disk. Normally, it would not be a problem, because any new stock would push it onto the knife. BUT, because I mentioned that the tube is 1/4" from the edge, the shreds that stick in that 1/4" will stay. And that causes BIG vibration! NEVER had such a problem with Cuisinart.
Because of that? I give it the lowest rating. It looks for me that appearance trumped engineering; nobody gave a thought. |
