| This juicer is small enough to fit on a kitchen counter. It's easy enough to assemble and take apart. The brush that comes with it makes it easier to clean the mesh basket. |

This was my first experience using a juicer. It works well, just remember to follow the instructions. I did actually make wheat grass juice using this juicer, you have to add a little water along with the wheat grass. It does make a bit of a mess tho, but clean up isn't that hard.

"Ok Juicer" | 2008-04-01 |

I was looking to replace my old juicer because my last one didn't work well at all. The clean up was painfull. I was ready to move on. I saw this juicer and I liked the price. With tax I paid around $50.00 bucks for it.
This juicer is loud or at least the one that I have is very loud. I have an eight month old in the house. He was around three months when I bought this juicer. The cord is an ok length.
This juicer leaves to much juice in the pulp. The clean up isn't bad if you clean up as soon as you are done I mean ASAP or it will be soak time in the kitchen sink for your removable parts.
Lets not forget that their is almost no stainless steel on this unit. It kinda has a cheap feel and look to it. The color is white with a smoke gray color. It does juice small hold apples very quickly. On the other hand you don't have to do to much cutting of your fruit. You can put most veggies and fruit in hold.
My next juicer will be a professional one. I hardly use mines because it has too many removeable parts to clean up and with a baby in the house that takes up time that I really just don't have. However, the parts do seem to come apart very easy which is good.
All in all it's an ok juicer for the money that I paid. I also have two years insurance on mines. When I saw it I noticed that it had alot of plastic parts and that worried me a bit.
If you are looking for a juicer that has more stainless steel or stainless steel parts then this juicer is not for you. If you are looking for an ok juicer that will get the job done then get this. Just do not pay over $50.00 bucks for it its not worth more than that. |

I paid $50 for this at WalMart and I can't praise it enough. If you want to try juicing and you want a powerful yet affordable machine, this is the product for you. Do all the research I did - compare prices, performance reviews, and product specs - and you will see that this product has all the power and features of machines that cost almost double the price, yet it's priced for the average consumer.
The 800 watt motor works like a dream; the newer Hamilton Beach models are being marketed as having 1.1 horsepower motors but this is just a marketing trick - 800 watts is the equivalent of 1.1 horsepower. Make sure you read labels and product IDs carefully - there was a seemingly identical product right next to the one I bought that was the same price but was slightly larger and only had a 450 watt motor. When it comes to a juicer that works well, you need power, not size.
One thing I must mention is that the instructions encourage you to soak the mesh basket/filter in hot soapy water immediately after use to make cleanup easier. The fact is that this should not be a suggestion but a requirement. Grainy-textured fruits and vegetables (apples, pears, potatoes) leave behind sand-like residue on the basket that is very difficult to clean if you do not soak it in hot water. But if you do soak, clean up is a breeze. And the handy brush that comes with the product is perfect.
Try juicing - it will change your life. And buying this product is the best place you can start. |

| After using three different brands of juicers through the years, I read several reviews on various other juicers as well as the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juicer. I discovered that the size of the motor was important to maximum juice extraction amd minimum juice left in the pulp. The big feed shute was also attractive to me. This juicer is the best one I've had! |

| I like the juicer overall. The large grate and tube make it nice to juice quickly. The small grate for the juicer is too small for juicing and clogs quickly. I can not juice heavy skinned or thick products or I have to clean out the grate 1/2 way through. Overall, I like the juicer. |

| This is great because you don't have to cut up your fruit before inserting it. It just chops everything you put in up and makes a delicious juice. I have been trying combinations of everything imaginable. I don't know how I got by without it! |

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1OZ5VDHJ1QISS It's great in every way (but see below!).
The sticking switch problem I had earlier is gone!
Veggies that don't work for me in this juicer:
oranges
pineapple
- too much bitter pulp included
pears
bananas
- too much like a puree
Mango: killed appliance.
Update: 1/16/08. Bad news and good news:
The bad news is that the plastic latches are too weak.
I was juicing a mango and at at the end it gave a great shudder and the locking latches blew to bits!
The manual mentions mangoes and says only that they be peeled, I did nothing wrong.
The good news: I called up Hamilton Beach, and without fuss they arranged for a
free replacement ($5.50 shipping, that's ok).
While I was at it, I upgraded to the 67650 model, with metal latches, for $10.
So don't get this one, get the other one here:
Hamilton Beach 67650 Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor, Chrome
The customer service is outstanding.
