I love this chainsaw it is great for the little stuff that is to big for a hand saw and things like that I love it I use it every year to cut the bottom of the christmas tree and you would not believe what a help that is. I recommend very much

This is not a gas chainsaw, if you are going to cut trees down get a gas chainsaw. Now that that is over, this is great, I spent sunday cleaning up very large branches, some 12+ inches in diameter. Stupid hurricane. Works great. Has very little oil leakage, not bad at all, does not spray oil when in use either. Great chainsaw. For the power to weight ratio, you can't beat this. If you want a professional chainsaw husquavarna all the way, if you want to clean up down trees/limbs on your property Poulan electric is awesome. Now I just need a Honda generator :-)

I purchased one of these about a week before Hurricane Gustav came through Baton Rouge, not even thinking about ever using it to clear off down trees. I thought it would be better to get an electric model and not have to fool with gas and oil. That was a mistake. After the rain stopped, I ended up carting a generator around in a wheelbarrow to use the chainsaw. When it had power, the chainsaw worked great. I could cut through just about anything a gas model would cut. The only problem with the generator was that the saw would trip the overload protection when cutting though large branches (over 10 or so inches). After about 3 or 4 hours of use, the unit just stopped working. I cleaned out the bar, thinking something had jammed it, but no. It was dead. It was a huge bummer to have it die while I was cleaning out the yard. I have returned it and purchased a gas model. If you live in storm prone areas, stay away from electric!!!

I bought this chainsaw a few weeks ago to do some clean up around the yard....made it for about 1/2 hour, and the thing went poof...totally smoked it...unless you like to return things, stay clear of this one...

Mowed multiple trees near my house with ease. I love the fact that when I need to set down the saw there is no engine running like in a gas powered saw. Plenty of power in this saw to cut through most trees that I would attempt as weekend warrior.

I live in Oregon...famous for the lumber industry and I have used gas chainsaws for a long time. I purchased the Poulan Pro 18-Inch 4 hp to replace one of my husky gas powered saws. I was impressed!! It will save you on gas (money in your pocket), saw maintanence (time), and cost of a gas power saw. You will still need bar oil, and I recommend a heavy duty long power cord...at least a 12 gauge cord to maximize the power of this fantastic electric saw. Note: I have used this saw to cut down to medium size oak trees that were at least 15 inch in diameter and found no lack of power...in fact I compare it to my 21 inch husky saw and I am cutting down on noise and CO2 polution. I would recommend that you use some sort of ear plug as the saw is just noisy enough that you should protect your hearing when you get older like me.

This electric chain saw has worked great for me. It's the only chain saw I've ever owned, so I have nothing to compare it to, but its cuts cleanly, feels balanced, and has good safety features. I'm fully satisfied.
