It really is a good doll, I own it and the Nori doll. However, the tail doesn't cover up her behind in the back. Also, after the wings have been in the tail for several days, weeks, or months, they tend to get really crumbled when you pull them back out.
As I said before, I do like it but there are somethings about the tail that could be improved. |

| My 6 year old grandchild adored this Barbie Doll! It was her favorite Christmas gift. The doll is quite beautiful and it is very easy for the child to switch the doll from fairy to mermaid. |

| Zoe has had this doll for a year now, and still has all the parts. The fact that there are no tiny parts(shoes, purses) to lose is the best feature. She loved how pretty the doll is. She went as elina for halloween. I am giving it four stars, because it is somewhat hard for her to turn the doll into a mermaid. other than that, its the best. |

My five and half year old daughter asked for this particular barbie doll. She was so happy when she opened her present and found Mermaidia Elina doll. She took it out of the box and started to play with it. Soon enough she lost interest however. The wings are large, so large they are actually a burden. Placing the doll inside the mermaid tail is not easy for little hands either. All in all, this doll is just "make-up" if you see what I mean. Pretty but not easy to play with, and easily forgotten. She is on a stand in my daiughter's room, and hasn't been touched or played with since Christmas morning...
Not worth the price. |

This doll is the most beautiful and my favourite doll from all the dolls i have.One thing is that her legs don't bend,other than that i think it's beautiful.Oh and to the 13 year old girl,don't worry,I'm 12 and i still like Barbies.Don't care about what your friends say.If you like dolls,why not buy them.It's yours to choose.And with Mattel making dolls this beautiful,who wouldn't want to buy them?!

Elina is the best fairy/Mermaid ever!! I love to play with her, and after I watched movie, I played with her more! After like, 2-3 months of owning her, i finally found out how to solve the crumpled wings problem! First, stretch the wings a little with your hands, then, put her in the bath tub. The thing is to wet her wings, then dry her off somewhere she's gna dangle in mid-air, which means her wings dosen't touch the ground or any thing. Well, I love Elina!! She's VeRy pretty in person! Although she does have alot more make-up then in the movie, and she has 'real' eyelashes!! Her hair has glitter strips with it, and she dosen't wear shoes, but she does has pretty patterns aroun her legs!! Oh, and another thing: She BIG! The wings look big when they are out, and when she's a mermaid, she's VERY tall with her mermaid tail. Well, Hope this Helps!

I bought this doll for my four year old a couple of months ago and she loves it. I love this doll too, although not as much as my daughter does, lol. It does get a little taxing when you are being asked to turn the doll from a mermaid back to a fairy every few minutes; not that I mind, it is quick and easy, just don't leave Elina's tail in the mermaid position too long or it will wrinkle. My daughter has had no problems with anything breaking or falling off. This is a beautiful doll well worth the price-I highly reccomend it!
To the 13 year old girl-of course it's OK to play with barbies at your age. I've been playing with barbies since I was a kid and now have my own barbie house and barbie car. (Please understand as a kid I had barbie knockoffs, my parents would not allow me to have actual barbies). But please understand that I now have 2 children and still play with my own barbies that I bought for myself once I left my parents home. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks (after all they don't have to play with your dolls,lol) just keep doing what you enjoy and good luck! P.S. Your kids will one day thank you - Mine do. |

| This Barbie is perfect.Beautiful.Wonderful design and great colours.The likness is remarcable.Although it doesn't look much like Elina from the movie,you could still tell it's Elina.The whole Fairytopia Mermaidia collection is magnificent,and you should chek out the other dolls as well.And Tikallover,look in the mirror.You won't see an expert,just a goody goody two shoes.I hope you read this Tikallover,and just know,I respect your opinion,but I don't agree with it.Until next time,and Tikallover think before you write agin. xoxo profesionalec za barbiki |
