"This is version 2.0" | 2008-08-16 |

We read the reviews of the various Symphony mobiles by Tiny Love. This one seems to have corrected most of the flaws identified in the non-light version. I won't repeat the positive points - our daughter loves this mobile. It will give you 20 minutes of freedom to take a shower or whatever.
There may be two revisions of this one already. One of the reviews stated that the volume has to be reset each time. Ours remembers the last setting, even if that is mute. We bought our mobile in June 2008.
Negatives: The musical selections are short and the light isn't very bright. Also, you really had to push the stem into the base quite hard to get everything to work. |

"BEST THING I'VE BOUGHT FOR MY SON" | 2008-07-29 |

| I bought this mobile when my son was about 2 months. He is 7 months now and remains his favorite toy! He just loves it, captures his attention completely for as long as it is going on. It automatically stops after 15 minutes and my baby stays still waiting for it to restart. Now he is even trying to start it himself. Nothing absorbs him as much or as long as this mobile. I highly recommend it. |

| I LOVE this mobile because my child loves it. From day 1, we've used it and he has been enamored by it ever since (he is 4 months now). He loves the bright colors and the music. I don't even have to turn it on and it grabs his attention. It is great especially when I need 20 minutes to take a shower. I can put him in his crib and I know he is safe and happy. I do wish that the lowest volume level was a a little quieter (especially at night when the whole house is quieter) but instead what I'll do is put just the movement on with no volume. The noise of the mobile turning is enough to lull him to sleep. What I also like is that I can use this for my next child, as it is gender neutral, and looks really cute on the crib. I would recommend this to anyone having a baby and if I see it on one of my friend's registries, I would definitely buy it for them. It is worth every penny! |

"Entertains baby and buys free time for parents" | 2008-05-09 |

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RGYH0EVEXY9UG Our son has been in love with this mobile since he was about 4 weeks old. (He's now 12 weeks.) He started off wriggling around to the music, then began staring at the moving shapes, and now smiles, shouts, and coos at his little animal friends as they come and go. Because the volume can be set to silent, he has even fallen asleep while watching it a few times, although he's generally so excited to see it that he's more entertained than soothed. (In the video the volume was turned all the way down so that we could hear the baby.) By the way-- the mobile no longer starts automatically at the loudest setting; this seems to have been a problem with earlier models. Also, even though there is no "music only" option, it's easy to remove the bar with the rotating parts from the rest of the assembly, leaving just the music box attached to the crib. This allows you to play just the music (although it leaves you with the problem of figuring out where to store the rest of the mobile in the meantime).
As parents, we have a great time watching him having so much fun-- but we also LOVE the fact that this mobile enables us to leave our son safe and happy in his crib for 10-20 minutes while we go do the laundry, eat dinner, take a shower, etc. We gave this mobile as a gift to a family member before we had our own baby, and she said she wept when she had to take it down (once her son had started pulling himself up in his crib) because she had just lost a good chunk of free time from each day. Yes, we love spending time with our kids, but to preserve our own health and hygiene, this mobile has been a lifesaver.

| My son is 10 weeks old and he absolutely loves this mobile. In fact the other day, I actually caught him smiling up at it. He loves to watch when he's awake and it also helps put him to sleep every night. Out of all the baby stuff so far, this is probably one of my fave things. |

| I was very dissatisfied with the mobiles I found in stores. When I saw this one was highly rated online, I decided to go for it and am very glad that I did. My little love LOVES it. As a parent, I especially like the different types of movement generated when it spins and the bright colors. The music has a nice adjustable feature that lets me turn it off-- another great win. |

"Mobile-great, Light and Music stink" | 2008-03-04 |

Even though the light and music stink, I gave this product a 4 because the mobile is so great.
Mobile: I have been doing a lot of research for an article I am writing regarding brain differences in males and females, and was very impressed just how much what I have learned has been encorporated into this product.
Some of the reviewers here at Amazon don't seem to get the purpose of a mobile. A mobile is NOT intended to put your child to sleep. It is intended to stimulate them. If you want to calm your child, this is NOT a good product for you. For little little babies, the stimulation can be overwhelming, so you might even have to turn it off and detach it after only a few minutes. Despite the threat of overstimulation, every baby that has visited our child's crib to watch the mobile was very obviously delighted. As your baby developes, you can leave it running even longer than the 20 minute timer allows.
When your baby is first born, they can only see a very short distance and can only recognize sharp contrasts such as black and white. Also, newborns have an inate ability to recognize human-like faces and are naturally attracted to them. Boys are even slower to appreciate colors other than black and white. The mobile takes this into consideration with big white eyes with black pupils and with black and white stripes on the arms. The soccer balls also have black spots on white for this reason.
As your baby develops he (I have a little boy) will begin to track the moving. The angle of the mobile developes his ability to track moving objects at different depth levels. The soccer balls give an extra spin to the movement to further stimutlate and engage your child. As he gets older, he will begin to reach for the characters.
Light: Stinks. It is too soft to use as a proper night light or for nocturnal breast feeding. It is not powerful enough to activate the colored liquid in any meaningful way. If the bulb burns out, you will have a devil of a time replacing it.
Music: The product description is misleading to the point of being a bold faced lie. There are 3 music selections that run for about 2 minutes each. There is a 20 minute timer to stop the music, but you only have about 6 minutes of music that repeats, not 20, in reality.
The music is really loud and you have to pump the volume control to mute it or turn it down. There is no setting for the mobile or light with no music. If you want the mobile or light with no music, you have to turn the music volume all the way down by pumping it, which is annoying.
Other problems: Once you assemble this, it is really hard to take apart to put back into the box for storage for the next baby. It uses a strange screw that has a triangular slot, for which I have been unable to find a scredriver.
Overall, if you want a great mobile and don't care about the light or music, this is a great product. Just put on a CD and pump down the volume. |

"The volume button is fixed with the new version!" | 2008-02-19 |

| I had the Tiny Love Mobile with my first-born (Tiny Love Geometric Shapes, which, unfortunately has been discontinued) and purchased the Light and Music mobile for my daughter. The bright colors, the calming classical music, and the cute animals keep my daughter intertained for lengthy time periods. The volume botton has been fixed with the new version (make sure the music box is yellow / white instead of green and the handles are blue instead of orange). We had to return the previous versoin as the volume reset was way too annoying - once the mobile shut off, it would reset itself to high volume. One thing that I would like to see is an option for music only ... right now, there is an option for rotation, rotation with light, light only and off. Nothing with just music ... Thus, I give this product a 4* |

"Great mobile, but not perfect" | 2008-02-07 |

I do love this mobile. It is easy to install on the crib- and securely too- I've never had the problem of it toppling over. The music sounds good, but like other reviews have said the volume starts out too loud when you turn it on. Sometimes, I wish it had a "movement only" mode w/o having to turn the volume all the way down. And there's no option for "music only". The biggest issue I have with it is when you need to change the batteries (which for me is often, because while we have rechargables, they don't last as long and need to be changed more often than reg batteries) you have to take the entire mobile off the crib- which is not a silent process. It's easy enough to put back on, but it's still a bother. With that said, I'd buy this again, because my son LOVES it. Seriously LOVES it. He's 8 months old now and I'm afraid we're going to have to take it down soon because he's going to figure out how to grab it. What will I do then? Agh. Bottom line, it's a great mobile, despite the few drawbacks.
