Vol. 2 of "Naruto" kicks off the manga's first major story arc, as our heroes protect a bridgebuilder from deadly elite ninja. This volume introduces Zabuza "the Demon," his protégé Haku, and pessimistic little Inari, who set the stage for Naruto's first real mission. The anime still follows the manga like holy writ, but business really picks up for our heroes once they get through Kakashi's final ninja test. And Masashi Kishimoto's brief insight into the making of "Naruto" should be a nugget of delight for fans. Now if Kishimoto added some 4-panel bonus manga down the road, then the comic would be perfect.

This comic is rated T for Teen: Graphic Violence.

Volume #2 of the Naruto manga series provides plenty of action. In fact, perhaps too much action. The narrative is actually quite bare bones, progressing the plot along in small bites in between massive chapters of action sequences.

While I am recognizing some of the appeal of this franchise, I'm still finding the action sequences difficult to follow at times. Perhaps I should give the animated versions a try next.

The art and layout only gets better the further you advance in this series. I enjoy these beginning volumes far more than I did watching them. Can't put it down! This storyline involving Zabuza is better than I remembered! Can't wait to read Volume 3!

I havnt really read the whole thing yet but i really like it so far, the picture quality is amazing and i love all the detail in the pictures! The dialogue was really accurate to the television episode too :D

This book as the first one is very good, but on the first one the only fight is Naruto vs. Mizuki, but on this one from the star to the end it involves battle, the best one youve probably seen it is Kakashi vs. Zabusa in t.v. it was [good but this one ohh my god it is the best, it is like the uncut one, on the one that was released on U.S. was edited and was taked a part with a lot of action, but the manga has a scene of 100% full action.........

This is the second book in the series and it was quite well done, I preferred this book over the anime.
