This product is easy to use for my 6 and 9 year old. The unit comes ready to be plugged in to be up and running in a few minutes. The microphone can be used with the built in radio, cd's placed in the unit and you can have the words displayed on the screen or on the TV. I like this unit because it is compact and easy to move from one location to another. It can, but does not have to be used with a TV.

My 2 daughters got this Karaoke Machine for Christmas and they love it. The sound is great and the machine is easy to operate. The only complaint I have is that after you listen to a song and try to change the track on the CD to a different song, the machine takes a really long time to play it. I usually have to turn the machine off for a little while and then try again and it works. Now we don't even use the CD Player, I just let them use the CD player from a different stereo system and they use the mics. from the karaoke machine to sing along. They still enjoy it a lot.

Got this Karaoke System for 8 year old granddaughter to help her enjoy and interact with her love of "High School Musical". We searched for just the right one, most not having all of the features offered by this one unless they were very expensive. This machine worked so well for all of a young music lover's needs that we then got one for our 5 year old granddaughter. Though her reading skills limited at the time, found that by her following the song on screen helped her learn to read! Win, win...Fun, fun!

I bought this machine for my daughter's birthday and we have had a blast so far. She has both High School Musical cd's and a pop music cd and is in her room every evening belting it out. My 6 year old son loves it as well.
