I just received this product in the mail. I preinstalled the RocketFM software ahead of time. I received it in the mail today, plugged it into my USB adapter, and opened the software. Simple as that. I tuned into 88.1, tuned the radio, and VOILA! I hop onto Youtube, play some music, and tunes in PERFECTLY. My 2nd FM Transmitter from Griffin, highly recommended. If it matters, I had an iPod mini FM Transmitter from Griffin, and worked amazingly.... These products are well over exceptonal and I love it. I'm still on Youtube playing some music at the moment...

Transmitter working good. Vista - no problem. But sound(music) is not very clear. It is good for PC game's sounds.

I have an older iMac running OS10.3. After installing, I found the Rocket FM transmitter under System Preferences. But first you need to go to audio preferences, and switch your audio-out to the Rocket FM. Than you go to Rocket FM to set the FM frequency you want. I have to say the signal is quite weak, my stereo tuner is only 20 feet away. I had to move the transmitter around to find it's best transmitting location. There is quite some noise, so you have to slide the volume on your computer to the max, what helps the signal/noise.

I'm extremely disappointed with this product: After installing it and its software on my iMac, I went to System Preferences to set it up and got the message: "You cannot open RocketFM Preferences because it does not work on an Intel-based Mac." Thanks a lot Griffen!

okay, so I bought this thing 6 months ago, and stopped using it due to frustration with constant static and noise when I moved it. Sitting on my couch, 15 feet away from my stereo (a nice one) and it can't get across the room without sounding crappy? FAIL.
But, today I read the review suggesting to pry the case open and free the antenna - this made ALL the difference. the case will close again, just pry it open and pull the metal antenna out into the air.
All in all I wouldn't buy it again, since the antenna will probably break off soon enough, but for now that at least salvages the purchase.

I just bought this little device. I had bought a shower radio recently and wanted to listen to my favorite online radio stations in the shower. So I bought the FM transmitter. It's really easy to use it with Mac computer: just plug it to USB and set the sound output on the FM transmitter. Turn on your radio on FM 88.1 frequency and there you go, you hear it clearly. I leave in NYC so there are lots of radio stations all around. I could listen to the radio clearly in the shower, while the FM transmitter was in my room (15 feet away from the radio). Also I took the radio to sitting room (25 feet away) the sound was still very clear.
