I purchased this product for my son as a birthday gift. Although I looked for on-line research before I made the purchase, I didn't find much, because it was so new. I liked the idea of having the streamer to be able to listen to not Bluetooth enabled devices, so I went ahead and ordered it.
My son charged the batteries, as outlined in the manual, but he couldn't get the headphones to work with any Bluetooth device. He also couldn't get the streamer to sync up with the headset and after trying several times, it stopped working altogether. He went on line to the Blue Ant website and tried to upgrade the firmware to see if that would solve the problem, but it didn't. He finally had to call Customer Service and they agreed to send him a return label through e-mail.
Several days later, he received a return form, but no label. A couple of days later, he received another e-mail stating that the wrong document had been sent and the right one would be sent shortly. After a week of waiting, I called myself and was told that they do not pay shipping for returns. After a brief "conversation", they agreed to send a new unit (non expedited) and said I would only have to return the headset and streamer (no other ancillaries), which would reduce the shipping costs, as I could "use an envelope".
I received the new unit about a week later and tested it. Although the instructions are a little vague on how to sync the streamer and unit (it only works if you hold the described buttons when the unit is off), the new unit worked great. The sound quality was good also.
Unfortunately, by this time my son had gone back to school, so I had to pay to have it shipped anyway. The cost of the unit was as listed, but although I took advantage of the free "super saver shipping" with Amazon, I had to pay for the shipping of the non-working unit, as well as shipping the new unit to my son. |

| I bought both a Cardo and the BlueAnt one for work and one for home. They both have good audio quality. The BlueAnt is comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. The only problem I have with the BlueAnt is the microphone that you have to attach to the headset. I have not lost it and I hope that I dont. |

I don't leave too many reviews, but I believe strongly in them. I base most of my purchasing decisions on them. These things are the worst headphones I have ever owned. I wish I had never bought them. Let me explain why. First, the longest they have ever stayed on is 4 hours before the battery is dead in the transmitter. The transmitter sucks too. It receives a lot of interference. The speakers have never died out on me and have held the first charge, but they are no good without the transmitter. There is this annoying clicking and static that plays in them. You have to press the play and stop buttons to get different noises to stop. I am very disappointed. I wanted them to use with my computer so that I did not have to keep reaching behind the computer to plug in some headphones. I was also hoping to use them with the TV when I want to watch something and not bother my wife. I would never recommend these to a friend. I would also tell everyone to stay away from these. If I could I would return them, in a second. |

"Good sound, poor everything else" | 2008-05-26 |

I have owned this headset since Nov '07. Since then I have come to some realizations about this headset. First off, the sound is good. I does a great job as a wireless headset, and stays put while jogging. Now the bad. To start, none of the buttons on it seem to work. I cannot even power it down, since once it is turned on, the power switch is non-functional, which means I must remove the battery to turn it off. Neither the connect, nor the volume buttons work either. This is unfortunate, because the ROKR I use has a rather pathetic volume control and without the headset working, I cannot seem to find a sweet spot. Also, the headset gets rather uncomfortable after wearing them for any length of time. And finally, I have been told I sound as though I am talking softly when I use this set for conversations. I cannot say I can recommend this headset for anyone other than maybe joggers that want to use their phone as their mp3 player while out for a run... |

"Many problems" | 2008-03-03 |

This headset seems like a good option - it is folding, comes with a transmitter, has a removable mic, supports A2DP and AVRCP bluetooth profiles, etc.
Despite all the good attributes above I have had nothing but problems with this headset. First it doesn't fold far enough to be useful but it does manage to pull hairs from the back of my neck every time I wear it. The transmitter that came with my unit was faulty and only broadcast the right channel - I also got no reply from BlueAnt's tech support. I didn't have a chance to try the mic but the stereo audio quality was lousy on all the devices I tried it with (direct pairing or transmitter).
I recommend getting a separate transmitter and headset. You can find either part separately with better quality and lower price. |

| These are great headphones. They sound good, they are comfortable and they come with a spare battery. The package also comes with the charger, but if you forget to charge one of the batteries you can plug them in and listen to them while they are charging. Great headphones. |

This headset is advertised as being able to listen to music and standby on bluetooth at the same time and it does - sort of.
The head set sounds great when connected only to the stereo streamer, but if you connect to both the bluetooth phone (on standby) and listen to the stereo - the music quality really stinks! |

| Surprisingly good battery life. Only needed to recharge these every three or four days. I like the compact fold-up design. They are a little too quiet for me though, I like to blast my music. It's also ridiculous that the microphone is not built in. It's a little widget that you plug into the headphone's USB jack. But it's nice to see a set of headphones that can be charged via USB. |

I've had these for a couple of weeks now. I use them mostly for listening to music streamed from my (A2DP-capable) phone (Cingular 8125/HTC Wizard, running WM6). The headphones work fairly well, are a bit flimsy as others have noted, and don't quite fold up enough to store well in a pocket. For instance, I ride the bus to work, and it's very convenient not to mess with wires when getting on/off the bus zipping up/down your coat, but trying to store them in a coat pocket, I expect at some point I'll run them into a wall, and they'll be broken, as they don't fold down far enough.
They are a little tight over the ears for long periods of time, but not terrible
The microphone is ok. I'd really prefer a swing-out boom mic, that you can swing down when you get a call. I can't quite figure out the fascination with the small form factor on bluetooth mics -- when they just really don't work well. All-in-all, though, I don't get too many complaints from people on the other end while using these. |
