| The Schwinn Jog Stroller is a very easy-to-maneuver versatile stroller. My favorite feature is the front wheel mechanism which allows me to either lock the front wheel or put in the swivel position. For jogging I tend to use the locked position for strolling I find the swivel position better. The stroller is sturdy, durable and I find myself using it in place of the tradition stroller. The storage area underneath the stroller is rather small, and the drink holder is not very effective at keeping drinks from falling over or spilling (if an open container), but overall, I would recommend this stroller to any and everyone who walks, jogs or strolls outdoors. |

"Pretty good, but some design flaws." | 2009-09-21 |

I'm a stay-at-home mom, currently with 4 strollers, for one baby. I enjoy each of them, and this one is second in line as my current favorite. All of my strollers serve a different purpose. My travel system is a Peg Perego (which turns into a plush, big stroller), then we have a Schwinn/InStep Bike Stoller, this Schwinn Jogger and a Britax umbrella stroller.
We discovered last month, Schwinn has wonderful service. Our Instep/Schwinn Bike stroller broke this summer and they sent us the replacement part for free, we did not have to pay for shipping or handling either. We had no receipt or warranty, they were very helpful over at Schwinn/Instep. I find that wonderful about a company, great customer service.
As for this jogger stroller and my review. I have many reasons 'why' I cannot give this stroller 5 stars. The material on this stroller is not that great of quality (front bumper scratches easily too). The quality, is just "ok". On our Peg Perego, the material is amazing. I might be too picky, because I am comparing the material to a high quality line. The sunshade, really serves no purpose when you are in daily sun. For some reason, the sun is always in the way, unless you are walking one direction. Which is .....when your back is against the sun and later in the day. I do like the cool little peek-a-boo sunroof, though. Don't get me wrong, the shade is huge, but no matter what I do, I cannot keep the sun out of my little one's eyes. My question is...did they not do any test runs with an actual baby in-tow, in the sun?, when they made the design? Also, I discovered, on a windy day, there is no locking sidebars, to keep the wind from blowing the shade, back into folding position. My Peg Perego has an awesome sunshade, the design is what all shades should be. Not only does my Peg Perego lock, so the wind can't blow the shade back, but it also has a drop down front to keep the sun out of babies eyes. On the Schwinn, the rain cover is nice (it's built in), however it will not cover my baby's feet and she is as long as a 18-24 month old. Her whole body is covered nicely, but you'll need rain boots to keep those toes from getting wet (if you are in the rain). There is no area on this stroller to attach the connectors of the raincover either. My husband says it was a flaw in the design. If you want to adjust the babies seat, you can't do this with any latches, you will need to do this with some kind of tiecord, which is very akward to do, especially if baby is in the seat. You'll want to adjust the seat before baby gets in. It's very easy to recline, once they are in, however to go back into upright position, you'll have a hard time if baby is in seat. It's a strange design and I have no idea why they would of made such a cheap latch/tie system. Also, the back of the seat is a mesh covering, around the cushion seat, itself. If you like to run in the rain, you better have baby in a rain jacket, because any kind of backsplash will get all over baby. One more thing, the locking system at feet is really stubborn and this stroller will roll-a-way easily, even on the smallest hill/incline. Now, to the pros of this stroller. I like how easy it is to collapse. Also, it's a smooth run for both mom and baby. It looks cool and almost like a Bob. Both mom and baby trays are great, the bucket is a nice size, but can bend easy. The seat is really comfy for baby, so on a nice day, this is a plush ride (just not on rainy days). If your baby is about to get tired, this ride will for sure put them out for a good jog. One more good point, the front bumper covers the wheel nice, so mom's dont have to worry about toes getting into tire-spokes. Overall, this stroller is about 3 out of a 5. I'll bump it up to a 3.5, only because the company has good customer service. |

"Marathon Mom Who Loves This Stroller!" | 2009-09-15 |

I did a lot of research before I purchased a jog stroller. I knew that I would be running the WDW Marathon in January and needed the stroller for training. I also wanted to be able to use it at street festivals and for my StrollerFit classes.
I saw on [...] that these strollers were on sale at Amazon so I decided to buy from Amazon.
What I like:
Easy to assemble
Important when mom is running on fumes, it's dark, and you're trying to be quiet because you FINALLY got baby to sleep
Light when running
I wanted to be able to use this even as baby grows and gains weight. And I can't have the weight of the stroller interfering with training
Has great brakes
I have to stop at least a few times to stretch or take a drink and the brakes hold perfectly even when on a hill or incline
Wrist tether
A little extra security for my peace of mind
Front wheel can be stationary or swivel
This was probably the most important for me. I needed the stationary wheel because it's too much extra work to run with the swivel. But, I want to use the swivel for getting around at the Arts Festival or the County Fair.
Large sun visor (adjustable)
My baby is too young for sunscreen, so being able to pull the visor down to protect against exposure is the second most important feature. Even though it's right at sunrise, it can still be pretty bright.
Vented mesh back
I live in Florida and it gets disgustingly hot and humid. Knowing that my running is creating a breeze that moves over baby and through the stroller was a relief.
Large under-buggy storage
HUGE! Even bigger than my other strollers and easy to get to. Hard plastic and never gets wet or muddy from the wheels splashing.
Adjustable handle
When I'm just walking at a Festival or on the beach, I don't need the handle very low. When I'm running, I like it a little lower. That really makes a difference.
A few things that I didn't like:
The cup holder is the perfect size for my Gatorade, but it is not very deep. So, the drink is a bit wobbly and a danger to baby's head. So, I keep it under-buggy and have to stop to fish it out and get a drink.
No infant head rest included. I think they sell it separately, but I just used the Eddie Bauer one I bought at Target. My 2 month-old's head was not very steady until I put that in. Then, it was just dandy.
You really have to make sure that you attach the front wheel very carefully. I don't take it apart and put it in the trunk very often (only once a week) and if it's not attached well, it wobbles like crazy. I can't imagine dealing with that on a daily basis. Of course, it's possible that it's just me and not the wheel. :)
Even knowing these things, I would still buy this stroller. It's perfect for me. |

"Ideal for the money" | 2009-08-04 |

| I've had this stroller for six months now and I have to say it's worth the money. It's what I call the bottom of the top of the line of jogging strollers. I wouldn't consider anything less than this. I wish it was a little higher quality. Like the cover doesn't always stay in place when you adjust it to block the sun from our son's face. In order to have the ability to adjust it, you have to unsnap it. For a little while the snaps would rattle, though they haven't really done that in some time. I do like that the cover can be adjusted completely forward if you want, to block sun, wind, or baby's view while sleeping (I just put a blanket over the exposed top). I was disappointed when the stroller arrived, it had a large dent in the foam handle and no one could correct the situation without us mailing the whole stroller back in, which just wasn't worth it to us. Most unfortunately, it's made in China, and touts to be an all American company no less, which must be why it's so cheap. That makes me sad. With baby two on the way, we decided to go for a BOB a double stroller, mostly out of a value for American made and because people rave about them. I have to say I do not understand what all the fuss is about. To compare the two, Schwinn has thicker tires, so it just feels like a smoother ride to me with better suspension. The BOB isn't bad, I just don't understand why I'd want to pay nearly twice as much. Not to mention it insenses me that after paying nearly $600 for a double stroller, they expect you to PAY MORE for things that should be standard (and are on the Schwinn) like a parent cup holder for keys, cell phone, etc., and a weather shield to block the rain (which zips right out of the Schwinn hood whenever needed so no worries about lugging it around or leaving it behind). Not to mention the cover, though pretty substantial, does not detach and go forward all the way. So when walking with baby in the morning or late afternoon (which is daily at our house walking the dog), the sun can't be fully blocked from his view. To me the two brands are so similar, I just can't see paying so much more and then adding more to it because they can't include basics. In response to other reviews, my son has reflux and we find the seat is upright enough for him to ride comfortably and see things. It's not totally upright, but you can adjust it to sit pretty high up. (we don't use the cup holder). I don't feel like this stroller is that bulky for the purpose it serves. We put it in our car from time to time for trips, mostly it stays in the garage. We don't want the dirty tires in our car on a regular basis any way. We have a smaller stroller for trips to the store, though you could do it if you really wanted to. It does fold down a little odd (collapses towards you rather than folding away from you, sometimes the cover over the front tire scrapes the ground in the process). For the best quality, you want to make sure you get an aluminum Free Wheeler, sometimes indicated by AL, rather than steel. They are lighter in weight and less likely to rust in the event of rain. The frame could bend more easily, but that's less likely to be an issue. Where folks have had trouble with the front tire locking or the break falling into a locking position, you just have to tighten the screws a bit more, not a huge deal. Overall we are happy with this stroller. We might even sell the BOB double so we can buy the Schwinn double instead. It's not perfect, but based on what's out there, I think it's the best deal, esp for the money. For us paying more just did seem better enough to be worth it. |

| I purchased the blue/green stroller and it did not turn out color-wise any way that I thought it would! It is much more like a pastel in the computer and on the box, but it looks nothing like that in real life. Did they just send me the wrong one or is this really what it is supposed to look like???? Anyone else feel this way? After seeing it in person, I wish I got a BoB, but we are too poor to afford it. I also have no idea how I am going to put this in my car. =\ |

| This stroller is super cool. Took 15 minutes to set up. My baby is 11 weeks old and I was able to adjust the straps to fit him. We used a generic shoulder strap to help him feel a bit more secure. We love taking long walks and going for a quick jogs. The stroller glides across the sometimes bumpy side walks in our suburban neighborhood. My baby fell right asleep the first time I place him in there. Great buy. Wish the sun protector was included. |
