| I feel generous in giving this product 2 stars - but I will say that it has great suction and cleans the carpet wonderfully! HOWEVER, half the house it carpet, the rest is hardwood/tile and it only throws dirt on hard surface floors. I need to only use the attachments to clean my hard floors. Speaking of attachments... The hose and attachments are the most poorly designed of any vaccuum we have owned. Yes, the duster is a great feature with the self-cleaning mode, however I too am constantly knocking attachments and extensions off their base. Also, am I just using it wrong, or is the hose way too short?? When the attachments are added to the hose, the suction is so strong that the hose becomes even shorter - if that makes any sense. What I mean is that the suction makes it VERY difficult to stretch the already short hose. Additionally, I find the cannister to be too small. Yes, I live in a new house with new carpet, so i expect carpet fibers to fill it pretty quickly - however, I was literally emptying the cannister with every room I was in!! And these are not massive rooms. So - thank God for Costco with their no-hassle returns policy! It is going back to the store! |

We've had the vacuum for a couple of weeks and love it. It's so much better than our old vacuum, and I can't imagine the more expensive models being much better. The carpet looks great after vacuuming, and I like the duster.
It looks like though from the other reviews that we'll need to take care of changing the belt and the filter every 6 months or so or else we'll run into problems, but so far so good! |

| It's hard for me to figure out why so many folks are having problems with this machine. I've had one for about three years and am delighed with its performance, especially with its strong suction, one of the best that I've ever owned. However, after about a year and a half of purchase my wife was complaining about the poor suction, and I had to agree. It took a little checking when I discovered that the place where the hose connects to the body of the machine, where the air passage takes a tight U-turn had become clogged with cat hair. The hose can be detached by squeezing the clips on either side of where it connects to the machine body and the clog cleared. After that the suction was as strong as ever. I can imagine the motor burning up if this is not done. I have to agree that the foam filter pad needs to be cleaned every fourth or fifth time of using the machine and I am not happy that the pad, which now needs to be replaced, cannot be obtained and replaced without replacing the entire filter unit, which to me is a costly and unnecessary waste of money and resources; this is the only reason why I have given the machine only four out of five stars. |

| This vacuum requires a lot of (dirty) maintenance. If you do not clean the filter, hose and dust catcher before each use it just throws what it is picking up out behind it. I have mostly hardwood floors with large area rugs. I dust the hardwood floors AFTER I am done vacuuming and pick lint up off the carpets. I loved it the first few months that I had it, but it is going downhill quickly. I am moving this one to the basement and going back to Kenmore.....sorry |

| Horrible product. Bought it at Target based on reviews. The main screw holding it all together not properly lined up so handle stays loose. Vacuum sprays more dirt around than it picks up. It picks up hair pretty good as long as it didn't blow it away first! Would never recommend this product to anyone-even my worst enemy! Even my daughters complain that it is a piece of junk! Don't buy, don't buy, don't buy!!! |

| Bought this on sale at TARGET a month ago and love it. Just switched from bags to a bag-less and am happy I did. Great suction pulled all sorts of lint out of my carpets. Couldn't give it 5 stars because the attached duster picks up dust poorly. I took it off since my swiffer duster works better. This is a sturdy vacuum - ie: not lightweight. Easy to use. |
