"A fantastic choice all around" | 2009-10-19 |

I haven't actually worn a wristwatch in over twenty something years, using my pager, cell phone, and other clocks to mark time. Recently a good friend of mine purchased a Rolex. The expense of the watch is obviously meant to impress and it was one of his life goals to own one. I realized that it does irritate me to have to pull out the cell phone or pager to check the time and at this stage of life, I deserved a very nice watch worthy of the success I have achieved. I looked at Rolex, Omega, and others before considering Seiko, the brand of watch my father still wears after 40 plus years. After scrolling through ALL available Seiko choices THIS watch was the only one that had the features I would not compromise on (self powered kenetic, date display, waterproof to 300 feet, and striking masculine appearance). NONE of the Rolex, Omega, etc. had the kenetic powering of this Seiko watch (they were all battery powered) which is stunning given the price of these expensive watches. I read over 200 reviews on this watch and found very few negative ones. Is this watch big? No. I bought it because it appears to be the smallest of this style that has kenetic powering. It fits my wrist perfectly and is as comfortable as any metal band can be. This watch is sexy- when I showed a girlfriend (who is very picky) the watch I was planning on buying she remarked how manly looking it was and that the band was very attractive. All that combined and over a week of research, I made the purchase through Amazon and it arrived exactly when it was supposed to. The watch appears flawlessly finished and is not huge at all when you consider all the watches that are over 38mm in size. When I took the watch in to have the band sized, the jeweler commented on its appearance and asked me where I got it. He was surprised at the low price I had paid. The only feature this watch is missing is a day of the week indicator and if they made one that looked like this one I would buy it. So far, I love this watch, and this from someone who hasn't worn one for decades. If I have any issues I will post further.
P.S. I also could not ignore the fact that this watch is numbered "007" which did catch my eye but is NOT the reason I ordered it. If Bond wore a Seiko, it's a safe bet it would be this one. |

"Great time piece for the money" | 2009-04-03 |

Pros: I have owned this watch for two years now and I love it. I wear it almost every day and it has worked very well. The sapphire crystal is extremely durable. I can't count how many times I have accidentally smacked it against a door knob and still it looks as perfect as the day I purchased it. I have owned watches in the past with a mineral crystal face and they will show scratches over time. This one has absolutely no scratches or imperfections in the crystal whatsoever. I get compliments on this watch frequently.
Cons: Twice in the two years I have owned this watch it has failed to reset to the correct time when coming out of sleep mode. Why that is I'm not sure. Every other time it has worked perfectly. Just last week I was walking in a dark parking lot at night and one of the small pins holding the links together fell out and the watch fell from my arm. I took it to a local jewler and had it fixed for a mere ten dollars.
Summary: Overall if you like this style (I love it!)I doubt you can find a better watch for the price. This piece is classy, accurate and the crystal is extremely durable. Buy with confidence. |

| I purchased this timepiece a couple months back from Amazon. First of all, it keeps great time! No need to adjust the time or date (including leap years!) The only adjustment you'll have to make is for daylight savings. It has a memory save feature that shuts the watch down if you don't use it for 24 hours. Just put it on, walk around a bit, and it will readjust itself perfectly. I have looked at many watches online, and I've yet to see one that looks better than this for the price. Striking without being overly showy. Can be worn in most settings (formal or casual). The only drawback I can come up with is that although it's a comfortable fit, the watch feels a bit heavy. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a slick looking watch at a reasonable price. |

| I've owned this watch for approximately 4 years and the time adjustment knob just recently fell off ( I have an office job). 4 times during this period I found the watch to be off by as much as 15 minutes for no apparent reason. Fortunately this did not cause me to be late for any meetings. The watch was comfortable to wear although the jewel on the end of the adjustment knob scratched the back of my hand constantly. I still have a small callus there to prove it. Perhaps this is because I prefer wearing the watch band slightly loose? I still like the style of the watch despite the mentioned shortcomings. The longevity of the watch and comfort wearing it verse the purchase price causes me to give this watch a low rating. |

Seiko Watches - Seiko Coutura Kinetic Perpetual Men's Watch I bought this watch for my husband for Christmas and he loved it! The watch is beautiful, it works perfectly and the price was better than any retail store I shopped. The delivery service had a small issue, Amazon took care of it and made sure the watch was here in time for Christmas. The customer service experience I had from start to finish was excellent. Thank you Amazon. I will be shopping more on Amazon. |

| As the other reviewers have noted, this is a quality timepiece, and indeed, the pictures here don't do it justice. It's a very attractive (but not ostentatious) watch, and although it is big, it doesn't look like you're trying to show off or compensate for feelings of inadequacy. It's built to last, with plenty of 'gee-whiz' value (kinetic movement, perpetual calendar, automatic power-down and time memory)even if it doesn't have lots of functions (e.g. tachymeter) that most of us never use anyway. You will not regret buying this watch. It still makes me smile to put it on my wrist in the morning. |
