Editorial Review
The Timex T56371 blends its signature Ironman Triathlon multi-function, performance sport digital watch with an analog read-out. The dual-tech feature enables you to turn the digital screen off for just an analog watch display, with its luminous hands and red seconds hand. The large, round stainless steel watch case has a metallic silver bezel with engraved 10-minute marks. It offers a 24-hour chronograph with lap or split option, 42-lap memory recall, 3 interval timers settable up to 100 minutes with countdown repeat function, 2 alarm settings, and 2 time zones. It's water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet).

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

I like Timex watches. I've worn them for 30 years. I wear them hard, sweat on them, dig dirt with them, and, sometimes, plunge them into the waters of Tampa Bay. Mostly, they keep on ticking in spite of the licking. When they don't change the date or something falls off, I just buy another.
My new Timex Ironman is just what I wanted - more actually. I don't keep track of laps or use the alarm. I don't need military 24 hour time. But I have them and a darn good watch besides. It will last about 2 1/2 years and then, since it is cheap enough, I can toss it and get another. Bite me Rolex!

this is a nice looking watch and my husband seems happy with it. it is reasonably easy to set but if the buttons get bumped it changes function. he didn't like that. and, as others have said it is very thick and heavy. overall, for the price, it was a good purchase.

Got this watch for a more dressy type watch and find I want to wear it all the time. Well worth the $$$$. Would give this watch as a gift to friends and family members.

4 Star Rating  "Overall Quite Nice"2008-09-24

I've had this watch now for a few weeks. br /br /I never take my watch off. That's just how I use watches. This watch is no exception. I even wear the watch while sleeping and showering. For me a watch must be rugged, it must look nice, and it must be functional.br /br /The only feature of the watch that I use is the stopwatch. I'm a runner and I love using the lap recording feature to record splits during races or during workouts. I didn't take the time to understand the countdown timer and instead use the stopwatch to keep my time between sets at the gym at a fixed interval. A countdown timer would be more appropriate but I really don't mind glancing at the display instead.br /br /The lap/split display is very good. At the top of the watch the current lap time is displayed while the bottom shows the total time. br /br /After resizing the watch band it did fall off once. One of the pins worked its way out of the band. I didn't lose the pin and nothing happened to the watch. I pushed the pin back in and it's been fine since then. The pin that came out was not one that was used when the band was resized. I had a jeweler resize the band but you could probably do it yourself using a thumbtack.br /br /Overall I'm very pleased with this watch. As others have said the digital display is often obstructed by the analog display. That really doesn't bother me much. Besides that I love it. ...And the price was quite good for a watch with a metal case and metal band.br /

In my job it is useful to have both a second hand and a 24h digital watch in one, and this watch fits the bill. It is good quality, and solid. It is rugged enough to be worn while out exercising (although perhaps a little on the heavy side for this), and yet is refined enough to wear it to work daily. Multi-time zone function is handy. I like the metal straps - some metal straps gradually rip the hairs off my wrist, but this one hasn't.

I use this watch for running(10+ mile runs) and other work-outs(weights/gym/etc) and it is comfortable.
I can also wear it out to dinner and it looks like a nice dress watch, so I don't need to change it up all the time. The only draw back is when the analog hands are covering the digital readouts. I Definitely recommend this watch to other athletes.

4 Star Rating  "Great value and features for the multi-time zone traveler"2008-09-15

I have worn dual display Timex watches for many years. Since I travel on business across time zones often, the feature of having the analog display always on the "home" time and the digital display adjusted to the "local" time has been great. This watch takes that to a higher level with dual alarms as well tied to the different zones. I was concerned it might be too complex but have found the interface very intuitive. It is also great looking and a great value. Since I have been wearing more athletic looking versions previously I was also concerned that this might be too bulky and heavy. At first, it did feel quite heavy in your hand but other than taking it off when I play tennis, I have found it very comfortable to wear.

4 Star Rating  "Great watch though not like the one in the movie"2008-09-09
- Reviewed By User: A15I8N2A78PGHM
Just like many before me, I too bought this watch after being smitten by it in the movie Stranger Than Fiction. The watch is similar to then one shown in the movie but there are lot of differences. The feature that i loved the most in the movie watch was the amazing blue backlight and how it used to shine when alarm would go off. Sadly this feature dosent exist. If you have turned the digitl display off, when alarm goes off you dont see anything on scren and no light whereas in the movie u see the bautiful blue light and some beeping signals on the watch dial.

Incidentaly the backlight is not even blue, rather a shade of green and its very dim. The dial shown in the website is white but actually its grey but it blends well with the band so no complaints here infact the movie watch has exactly similiar dial.

The analog and digital watch are not in sync.YOu have to set them both manually so for those who loved the scene where Harold adjusts his analog clock at the bus stop and u see digital watch syncing itself automatically are in for dissapointment.

The watch is definitely heavy but then I used to wear a chronograph from Seiko which was pretty heavy so it didnt make that much difference to me.

it is a large watch but it will not look bad on someone who is not that well built and of average height ..in short average guys can go for it as well ..

Enough abt the disappointments , to tell the truth I simply love the watch and for 50$ I doubt you can get a better deal ..I went thru all the reviews before ordering it and most of the reviews are spot on ..Its a nice , stylish watch which can be used as a dress down watch as well sports watch . The two time zone is a nice feature for someone like me who works for foreign clients so it helps you keep track of time at both places.

The watch looks much more expensive than what it wil actually cost you and I realy think that its a good value for money.

I bought the watch as a surprise birthday present for my husband. I based my purchase on the reviews I read about the watch. I needed a watch that was sturdy, and could get banged up, and still keep going. My husband has taken up swimming again and it has helped him time his laps. He absolutely loves it. Thank you for the reviews -- they really helped!

I am a timex fan and this watch was well worth it. Great price for all the features it includes. it has almost all the digital features of a Timex Ironman watch. Then turn the digital screen off and you have a nice dress watch. However YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. the watch is prone to scratches and damage if you are a bit careless with it.
