"Nice Watch For The Money" | 2008-09-27 |

| I give this watch four stars instead of five for two reasons. One, the "sapphire crystal" is actually a sapphire COATED mineral crystal (check the back of the watch). Sapphire, or sapphire coated crystals will resist scratching MUCH better than mineral crystals. It also adds to the price of the watch. Two, the subdials are very small and hard to read. Other than that, it is well worth the money. The band is true 316L stainless steel. It's a medium size watch at about 42 mm, including the crown. It weighs in at about 148 grams. I like big watches. Most of mine are 45-50 mm and over 250 grams, so this one is a nice change. Small enough for thinner wrists, but large enough to be noticed. Mine came with an instuctional manual that shows exactly how to set all the subdials. The subdial at the six o'clock position can be used to tell 24 hour time, or can be set for a second time zone. Easy to adjust to whichever you prefer. The dial will change color depending upon the light source, but to me, that's an added bonus. For money paid ($80) you can't beat the value. I would recommend this watch to anyone who asks. |

crystal does not scratch easily, holds time well (within 1 min after 6 months), its heavy and well made, band is comfortable and easy to adjust.
Could use a better manual, and hard to read at night. |

"Like the watch, have issues with how it works, detest service" | 2008-08-08 |

I purchased this watch as a Christmas gift last year. A+ to Amazon for their shipping, handling and all round transaction.
I really love the look of the watch. It is just the right size and weight for me. I really like the color as well. That's the ONLY reason I gave it 2 stars.
There are complaints about the weight and I found it perfect. The common complaint about the dial size was another issue. Personally I was fine with the size of it.
But I should have taken the "LOSE TIME" complaint seriously. I started having issues with the watch after a couple weeks. But it quickly went away and I was OK until about a month ago. I called Invicta and explained the problem and was told to replace the battery. That never fixed the problem so I called Invicta again to have the watch repaired.
Their policies are a JOKE. I had to spend $6 to replace a battery on their recommendation, $8 to ship it to them and they will then bill me a further $20 to ship it back. So basically I paid $90 for a watch and I'm in the process of spending over $30 to have a manufacturer's defect repaired. To make it worse, it will be about 2 to 3 months before I get my watch back.
I called customer service and spoke to a manager about my complaint and he basically said it's policy, and "too bad."
I really like the look of the watch, but I wished I never bought the watch, and will likely sell it or give it away when I get it back. I recommend looking elsewhere. |

Bought the watch on one of Amazons friday sales and am happy with the watch so far. I'v read the other reviews and agree that the watch is rather thick a bit difficult to see the small dials on the front but overall an attractive watch for little money. If you are looking for a Rolex this is not the watch for you if you are looking for a nice watch that looks great buy this one. P.s. saw this watch for sale in a store in New Mexico for $ 145 i paid less ($ 59 on Amazon) the list price they claim of $475 is not realistik at all. |

This watch is a great watch. The only complaint I have is that the background of the dial is seen to be purple more often then blue, still it is a very beautiful and precise watch that I am very pleased with. The extra warranty is a nice extra benifit, if you act quickly after you purchase it you can take advantage of a free five year warranty instead of a one year; all you have to do is go to invicta's homepage and navigate to the warranty section then enter in your warranty info. that should be included with your purchase. My warranty paper was not included so I called them and invita's customer service gave me some warranty numbers that I could use.
Overall very pleased! |

| I'm very happy with my Invicta, it feels good on my wrist, looks good and makes a great impression. The small dials are a bit difficult to read due to my age but still manageable for now and don't detract from my enjoyment in wearing the watch. |

"do NOT buy one of these watches" | 2008-05-12 |

My Invicta Model 2876 watch, a gift my girlfriend bought for my birthday was EXTREMELY disappointing. The problems, which existed since I received the watch:
1. It lost between 5 minutes and 30 minutes every 24 hours. I had to reset it each morning. 2. The date hand never moved. It was stuck where it was when I opened its box. 3. The "quick-set" button "A" that was supposed to change the date did not function in any way. It was stuck in a pushed-in position when I received the watch in its packaging. I managed to unstick it, but then it didn't make the date hand move, nor did it function in any other way.
I had to pay Invicta $20 to have it fixed.
The card the company sent me to confirm that it had been received left instructions on how to check the status of repairs online that were totally inconsistent with the site itself. I had to figure that out on my own.
The watch took more than 6 weeks for Invicta to fix.
Invicta shipped the watch back to me, and UPS delivered it while I was out of town to someone I don't know in my apartment building. This person, presumably, is still in possession of the watch and has stolen it from me. Granted this isn't Invicta's fault per se, except in so far as they sold my girlfriend a piece of garbage that we had to return in the first place.
So I'm out $20, my girlfriend's out hundreds, and we've got nothing to show for it. We would have had more fun burning dollar bills.
Invicta is a garbage company that has garbage service and sells garbage products. The whole experience has not just turned me off as far as Invicta goes, but has turned me off on the WHOLE IDEA OF OWNING A WATCH in the first place, which I had decided to return to after years of relying on my cell phone to tell time. That's what I'll keep doing. |
