"Whole New Racing Experience" | 2008-09-29 |

I have played racing games for years using the Logitech Cordless Rumble Pad 2. While that is a great gaming controller, this steering wheel is what I have really been needing. The wheel makes the experience feel very realistic. I've been using the wheel to play Need for Speed: Pro Street and the wheel provides accuracy and feel for how the car is reacting to the road. Example: I can feel in the steering wheel when I am corning so sharp that I am losing traction on the inside wheels.
I was worried that paying so much for a steering wheel would not be worth it to me. In hind site I am very happy that I purchased the Logitech G25 and I recommend it without reservation. |

This peripheral is amazing. Read all the glowing reviews and once you decided upon the purchase, check out my cheap alternative to the expensive cockpits. I've tried everything from a saw horse, folding table, TV tray, etc. My new rig's total cost = $[...] inclusive of everything!

| Ok sim racing fans, this has got to be the best main-stream available wheel. I have had nothing but enjoyment in using it. The only hassle is set-up and tear-down: wires galore (it sure would be nice to have a dedicated sim racing station). It would be awesome if they were able to implement wireless communication between the components... |

| I bought this wheel without seeing it in person, and wasn't 100% sure what it would be like. It turns out to have a very solid look and feel and seems more or less like driving a real car. I can't compare it to other wheels, but I can say that this wheel gets the job done and makes driving games both more fun and easier to win. |

I have owned this now for over a month and it has just been the best and most fun thing I have ever owned for my computer. The only down sides that I have with it is the clamps. They are plastic and don't really do a good job with my desk. I had to find a peice of wood use the plastic clamps to clamp it to the wood then use C-clamps to clamp it to my desk, not a big deal but for $250+ you would think they would of come up with a better way to mount it.
The force feedback is really strong so if you haven't used the wheel before keep it on low, otherwise it will break your wrists. All around good design, feels great in the hands, and the shifter is quite amazing. Petals feel realistic, but the paddle shifters really need to stay still... If you have the wheel on 900 degree turning you often forget which one is the up shift and which one is the down shift. |

WOW! What a brilliant toy. It is exactly what the reviews on this site talked about. Excellent quality, excellent gaming experience. I've been racing the rally simulator games WRC & Colin Mcrae for over 10 years, & the G25 took my gaming experience to a whole new level!! I wish the gear box wasn't separated from the wheel. I got it on time. It was easy to install. I'm extremely with my purchase. Thank you Logitech & Amazon. |

| If you're into driving games like I am then this is a must have item. Sure it's expensive. But this device really gives you control that you just can't get from a gamepad or other steering wheel. I used to have a Thrustmaster steering wheel and this thing FULLY blows it away. The only gripe I have is setting it up with the rFactor game that comes with it. It's virtually impossible! After a lengthy internet search I found a custom config file that had all the settings for me. If not for that file, there would be no way I could configure the controller for that game. It's really that hard. I don't blame Logitech though, I blame the rFactor developers. It works perfectly with GT Legends and only took a few minutes to configure for that game. If you can afford it, get it. You won't be disappointed. |

"Best for the price" | 2008-07-16 |

I bought my G25 in February 08 and have been using it very frequently since then. The games I play with the G25 are GTR2, RACE 07, Live for Speed, and most recently Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on the PS3.
The wheel itself is great, and although it only has four buttons (including the paddle shifters) there are a lot of buttons on the shifter.
The pedals are equally solid. Some reviewers have commented that the brakes are not realistic. The simple fact is that threshold braking is always going to be harder because you're not in a real car. There's no g-force to give you a sense of how hard you're braking. There's no "feel". For what it is, the brake pedal provides great resistance so threshold braking is as realistic as it can get. The clutch requires minimal effort and is very short. You won't confuse it with a real car's clutch. When properly supported, it's very realistic. You obviously can't feel it bite, but in Live For Speed it's easy to hold the car on a hill using the clutch (although why you would do this is beyond me). It's not an on-off switch. Unfortunately Live For Speed is the only game with proper clutch support that I have played. Gran Turismo is the worst, with it being very much on/off.
Compared to a real car pedal placement is a bit lousy for heel and toeing because the accelerator is close to the brake pedal even though it's spaced farther than the brake pedal is to the clutch. Still, you get used to it and once you know where to place your foot it's as easy as it is in a real car.
The real issue comes with the shifter. Very minimal effort is required to shift, and combined with very short throws means it feels toy-like. It can be flicked into place with a finger. It doesn't feel satisfying when the gears slot into place. Still, it works and is apparently quite durable even though it feels flimsy. It still works even though I get a bit "spirited" with it when I'm immerssed in a race. Still, this is nit-picking to be honest. I have to mention that it's poorly made, but I wouldn't return it for my money if given the chance. The bottom line is that when driving I enjoy myself much more than I did with paddles and auto-clutch.
This might seem like a lot of money for a wheel, but when you consider what you get when you pay for your money compared to other wheels it's a great product. The force feedback is excellent, the wheel itself is nice and large with 900 degrees of rotation (2.5 turns lock to lock), the paddles are more solid than on some cars, and the pedals are the best there is. The six speed shifter isn't really a big deal. |
